I'd get on my bike and be gone for the day

In the woods behind the house I grew up in were (and still are) giant pine trees. I would easily climb 40+ feet up because the stout branches acted like ladder rungs. I would sit in the trees for long periods of time just watching the woods. The cow pastures beyond those woods are now a Christmas tree farm that we went to this past December. I walked to the edge of the woods and was staring down the hill at my old house, and there are still a lot of those old giant pines.

When I look back on you childhood, so many of those memories are faded. But the times spent roaming the woods, building forts in the trees or underground, examining the creek critters, watching so many animals go about their lives, all those memories remain clear as if they just happened.

I did and had a blast. Explored an old junk yard with rusty cars in it and spent hours driving old Dodges and Chevy's. Old abandoned houses and barns were a prime source of fun. Making your own fun and exploring is the truest source of learning and fun.

Dave, did you hear that the Pentagoon removed the vax mandate? Wonder why?

Because the NDAA had an amendment that mandated the repeal. The fuckstains who call themselves "leaders" didn't have a choice. Too little too late for a lot of good Soldiers.

down here in FL me and my friends played in four square blocks of palmetto scrub known locally as "rattlesnake city". Never saw or heard one, but that was probably because they were busy slithering away from the kids with hatchets and shovels(to dig foxholes with, of course).
