The father-in-law passed away in December. It wasn't unexpected, he had been in poor health, both physically and mentally, for years. So we're headed to the in-laws to help deal with the estate. Separating out what's good from what is essentially rubbish (he was a bit of a hoarder), taking boxes to the thrift shops, and seeing what family wants to keep what items.
So yeah. Gonna be gone for a bit.
Have I mentioned how much I love seeing Mr Fang-Fang get his commie-loving ass booted from whatever chair he was holding in congress? I fucking love it. And however I feel about McCarthy, I'm enjoying him pointing out that Mr Fang-Fang couldn't get a security clearance, so why the hell should he sit on the intel committee?
Feh. Moar coffee. Gotta drive.

I don't understand just why the Democrats allowed him to be on that committee in the first place. Of course, if it had been a Republican, the media would have done their job, and not let up on it, but would have hounded then until they took him off, or let him resign, to stop the drama and allow the party to move forward, for the "good of America."
I am looking forward to seeing if the let Marjorie Taylor Green and Lauren Boebert onto any committees of any consequence. No doubt many of their colleagues dislike them as much as the Democrats do. But I figure that they are the kind of people we need on some of the committees, to sort of shake things up, and put a burr under the blanket of the old guard, in a manner of speaking. At the very least, it will make it worth watching the news on occasion just to see how they have made their own party mad, and really pissed the Democrats off, to the point of having a stroke.
