Continues, this time in Spain. Look at the pictures. If this had happened to a group of "ethnic" folks, or women, or gays, it would be front page news. But because it's happening to Catholics, nobody cares.
I keep having a line run through my head, from Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide. One of the opening lines is "So about two-thousand years after a man was nailed to a tree for suggesting that everybody be nice to each other.....'
What is it about Christianity that threatens people so much? Or is it just that these hateful people have a target that they know will not strike back? I must admit that I'm not a very good Christian. Had someone been screaming in my face like that, I would have taken his flag and beaten him senseless with it.

Christianity is the one way to God. All other religions, and atheism itself, are all inspired by Satan, and since he hates the real thing, so do all other people. So I believe. At the core, Christianity points out people's own sin, and most hate that. Only a few recognize and admit it, and the come to Christ for salvation.

That, I think, is the core of the problem people have with Christianity. To embrace Christ, one first has to admit that one is a sinner. Which means introspection, and the admission that you're not some perfect god-child that modern day society tries to tell you that you are. Nobody likes to have their failings highlighted. Even fewer people will highlight their own failings, admit them, and try to correct them. Christianity forces people to do just that, and THAT, more than anything, is what modern Leftists don't like to do.
