Time for some more Linky-Love!

We'll start of with Obnoxious Fumes, who reminds us that Victor Davis Hanson has another great piece out on NRO. Here's a taste...

French newspapers may blare, "The slowly rotting situation in Iraq, the Mideast and Afghanistan has destroyed the myth American omnipotence," but they don't tell us how removing the Taliban and Saddam Hussein is worse than selling weapons to them — or why and how France lost 30 times more of its own citizens to heat in a month than we lost soldiers in battle in two years. Apparently French apartments are far more deadly places than the Pakistani border or the Sunni Triangle.

Why yes, that is the sound of a bitch-slap being laid down! Cold Fury brings us a wonderful piece of writing from the Sharp Knife.

Ours is a time when "a real and generous love of our country" is fashionably mocked or at the least, held suspect. America's interests have been sold out for money or ideology at even the highest levels. The very idea of citizenship is constantly being demeaned, degraded & defined downward. Allegedly sane people think nothing of giving over our defense policy to the tender mercies of trans-national Ghanian technocrats, Syrian Ba'ath Party stooges and French diplo-whores.

One can't help but compare Mr. Forten's demeanor to those of certain other personnel, who, like Mr. Forten, volunteered for service in a very different America. Unlike Forten, they actually hoped to be sent to the West Indies...specifically Guantanamo. Not as POWs--but to conspire with the enemy held there. As spies for a medieval death-cult, these 'translators'...even a so-called 'chaplain', betrayed the country to which their lying tongues swore a meaningless oath. These snakes deserve the rope...and nothing less.

For those who don't know, three Americans were killed in Gaza yesterday.

The U.S. State Department said the three dead men were security personnel accompanying diplomats from the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv, who were heading to interview Palestinian candidates for Fulbright scholarships at the education ministry. The Palestinian driver of the vehicle also was wounded.

Let there be no further doubt. The animals known as "palestinians" do not deserve anything but death. There will be no debate from me on this topic. Arafat and the rest of the monsters should be carpet bombed from the face of the earth. Israel has shown too much restraint, and they would be fully in their rights to wage complete and utter war on the animals known as palestinians the next time a bus blows up. The West Bank and Gaza should be nothing but scortched earth, a reminder that anyone who chooses to send children with bombs wrapped around them to kill your enemies do not deserve to be treated with any kind of human compassion.

Scortched earth. Blackened craters where Arafat and his murdering cronies once held court. Nothing left but ashes. If you don't like that, then maybe you should suggest to Arafat that blowing up busses and pizza joints filled with kids and grandmothers isn't the way to go about convincing your enemies, hmmmm?

Sorry that this is so long, but there are so many good essays today that it's hard to pick and choose them. Thomas Sowell has an excellent piece on Donk hypocricy and vouchers. Michelle Malkin has a piece on Media Bias and Donk hypocricy (hmmmmm, a common theme! Who woulda thunk it?) For those who don't know, I'm hot for Michelle Malkin. Good looks, logical, smart as a whip, and oh so pleasantly ruthless. She's the kind of woman who would hand you your ass on a platter with a smile and a "Oh I'm sorry, let me hand this back to you". Just awsome.

Brent Bozell points out how ruthless the liberals really are, giving lie to their claims of "compassion" Mike Adams writes about (duh!) liberal hypocricy, this time focusing on the 1st Amendment. Rich Lowery writes about a personal experience with Stuart Smally Al Frankin. Frankin writes about lies and lying because that's what he does best. In fact, lying is about all Frankin can really do.

That should be enough to keep you busy for an hour or two. Enjoy!
