The FBI is a nest of vipers. Backstabbing, anti-American vipers

Don't believe me?  Go read this, and tell me I'm wrong.

I wouldn't trust the FBI any further than I could throw them at this point.  They are a corrupt, unaccountable, anti-American group of thugs for the Left.  They can all go to hell.

Planting season came late

Stopped in to Iowa to visit an old friend.  All the fields are being worked like there's no tomorrow.  My friend does some work for one of his friends who owns several acres, and he says that his friend will be operating the planters 24-7.  The fields would normally be prepped in April, but the ground is so wet that they couldn't get the tractors and machinery onto the land.  He says there's springs popping out of hillsides that never should exist.

Prepare for your food bills to go up, folks.  The farmers are working like mad, but I think that the late start combined with crappy conditions is going to make for a short harvest.

SSRI meds and gun violence

Ammo.com has a post up that's worth reading.  I haven't completed it yet, so I can't formulate an opinion, but I strongly suggest that everyone take a gander.

So we were staying with friends

Friends who enjoy good food. And the Mrs. and I just came from Cajun country, essentially.  And there was much begging, and quivering of lower lips, and thus the past three dinners have been:

Shrimp and Grits, Bacon-wrapped Gouda-stuffed chicken, with sides of green beans.

Paneed meat with white gravy, sweet potatoes with candied pecans, and banana pudding.

Hoppin John, greens, and buttermilk pie.

I won't have to eat for the next few days.  Back to driving my ass off.

Yep

May have posted this one before.  Posting it anyways.

For the record, I'm for it

"It" being the return of the Pinks and Greens to the Army Uniform.

The Blues have a history to them, but they don't resonate as much as the Pinks and Greens, mainly because there isn't photo history of the Blues as a daily uniform.

For those who don't know, the Blues, with their mis-matched pants and coat, date back to the American-Indian wars, where Soldiers would be issued on uniform.  They would pack up their wool coats and wear the pants for daily use.  When it came time for formal inspection, they would unpack their coats and put them on, but because they wore their pants every day, the pants would be bleached to a lighter color than the coats.  Which led to the Blues, a Navy Blue coat and Royal Blue pants.  Today it's called the Army Service Uniform.  The Greens died a well deserved death some years ago. The Army Greens were best looked upon as a 70's polyester suit in a disgusting shade of green.  I cheered when the Army scraped the Greens in favor of the ASU.  I am cheering again as the Blues once again go to being a Dress Uniform, and the Pinks and Greens come in as the daily wear.

There have been plenty of uniforms I didn't like.  I loath the beret.  I couldn't stand the ACUs.  But this, I can support without reservation.

The Narrative Continues

And men are not women, nor women men, no matter what the politically correct narrative pushers insist.

It's simple science.

Travelogs

Guess where we were?  And now we're visiting more friends.

I really really hope the Democrats push forward with their Contempt Proceedings

And I really really hope the Trump administration continue to tell them to pound sand.  And in my dream world, AG Barr comes in and arrests every Democrat that voted FOR the contempt charge.  Why would they be arrested?  For attempting to coerce AG Barr into committing a crime.

I'm not a legal scholar, and I don't have the time or inclination to look up the relevant statutes as I'm currently on the road and getting ready to head out.  But I'm pretty sure that using government force to coerce someone into committing a crime is in and of itself a crime.  I mean, if he were being told to release the un-redacted report or he would get audited by the IRS, that's a crime, right?  So a contempt vote designed to try to get him to release the un-redacted report, WHICH IS ILLEGAL, is a crime, right?

It'll never happen, of course.  But the thought of it makes me smile.

A piece of sanity

At least one person is willing to speak out regarding the males who claimed to be female in order to compete with the girls.

Selina’s mother, Stanescu, told The Daily Signal that she has done “everything that I thought would be possible to help this and just open a conversation” about what’s happened in Connecticut and what could happen should Congress pass the Equality Act.
“The doors have been shut over and over again,” Stanescu said. “People are afraid to speak.”
I can write a four-page essay, but a picture is worth a thousand words, right?

I would also point out that the athlete willing to speak out still hasn't quite learned her lesson:

Selina says all this while making clear she supports athletes “being true to themselves.”
“I have friends in school who are transgender and I know when they are struggling to come out or deciding to come out, I was there supporting them,” she said. “And when they were freshly out, I was caring towards them. I was never rude or disrespectful.”
But the situation in sports has “nothing to do with their gender identity and how they feel,” Selina said. “It has to do with what is right and what is fair in athletics.”
Looking forward to her senior year, Selina said she hopes to run track in college. She referred to the long jump event as her “safe haven” where “the results were fair no matter what, because it was girls competing against girls.”
“But now, unfortunately,” she said with a disappointed look on her face, “one of those athletes has started to compete in long jump. So now none of my events are safe.”
As long as she keeps supporting and encouraging people who are mentally ill and mutilate their bodies as they succumb to their mental illness, she will continue to get the same result.  But she's young.  She still has plenty of time to learn.

Buy more ammo

Because Vanderleun is spot on correct.

Kids and adult-adolescents may think it’s about “The Family of Man” and “the greater good,” but it’s really always and eternally about “Who-Whom?” The leadership of the LeftLibProgs knows their Iron Lung Economics right down to the last pile of ash in the ovens of Auschwitz and the last shattered skull in the muck of The Killing Fields. You’re next.

Checked one off the bucket list

The Mrs. and I visited Mount Vernon the other day, to include George Washington's distillery.  I highly recommend them both.

The two top selling semi-auto rifles of 2018 are...

Pistol Caliber Carbines.

I wonder if other gun makers will take notice.

Link should be fixed now.  Sorry.

Oh sweet bags of money, flying away, away, away.....

So the Mrs, who drives our towing vehicle, was dealing with issues that relate to older cars.  Problem is, as we're still in mid-move, we need a towing vehicle.

So the older Ragin' mobile is traded in, and the Mrs. is now the proud driver of a new-ish Dodge Ram 1500 Bighorn.

We bought it used, which is the only reason I'm not in the hospital recovering from the raping I just took to my budget.  We got a damn good deal on it, and it's far less than a new truck, but it's still a significant outlay of money.  Good grief.  This thing had better last for two decades.

F**k Twitter with a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire

Twitter wants to ban more conservatives.  There's no point in being part of a platform that's nothing but blue-checkmark leftists yelling "ORANGE MAN BAD" over and over.

The only real use of Twitter is to see what the enemy is discussing, and I don't need an account to do that.  So I deleted my account.  I had been using Twitter less and less as time went by, and I have no reason to continue to support them by my content.

New Tires

Got a set of new tires on the Ragin' Car.  The old ones were the ones that came with it when I bought it new, but they had issues.  They kept springing small leaks.  I would have to air one up at least once a month, and it always changed.  They weren't bad, just kinda problematic, and had 25,000 miles on them.  That's not their wear out range, but I figured I'd gotten the good years out of them anyways.  That won't do on a country-wide tour.  I can't have a flat tire in the middle of the MidWest.  So we went to the preferred tire place and got a new set.

The Mrs. has Michelin Defender tires on her car, which she got at my insistence.  Good tires are key to good performance, since they are the only things connecting the car to the road.  Once she got the good tires on, she was blown away.  Better performance.  Quiet ride.  Shorter stopping distance.  Good handling on wet roads.

So we got a set of the same for my car.  It's a world of difference.  And now I can continue my trip without worrying about what's going to happen in the middle of Ohio or South Dakota.

Good tires.  Buy them.  They are worth it.

The Catholic Church used to have martial orders

We need to bring them back.

CNN covered the January controversy surrounding Nick Sandmann and his fellow Covington Catholic School students 23 times, yet thus far hasn’t covered footage of children at a Philadelphia Islamic center reading poetry about chopping off heads.
Video from last month of kids at the Philadelphia Muslim American Society (MAS) Islamic Center showed them reading about chopping off heads and subjecting the enemies of Allah to “eternal torture.”

This is what happens when you allow a Satanic 7th Century death cult into your country.  This is what they do in their countries, and this is what they will do in ours.

I know that Jorge Bergolio is too busy having sex with his boyfriend and enjoying the power of the papal seat to bother with such things as a Satanic death cult that wants to wipe out all Catholics.  But don't think that the laity are just sitting around and doing nothing.  Bergolio will be dead one day, and the Church he's trying to destroy will live on.  It'll just be smaller, and more willing to defend itself.
