Of the falling rain...
We had a storm pass overhead last night, and other than a brief bit for dinner, I spent last night sitting under my patio roof listening to the rain.
I know the locals think I'm nuts. And maybe you folks who don't live in LA think I'm nuts as well, but when you've lived with rain all your life and then you move to a nasty polluted desert?
The rain is magical.

33 years in the desert from rain country and yes I still like to see it and for many years always went out and stood in it. Nowadays its worthless drivers, roads built for sand not water, and flash floods when I see too much. This one was a nice soaker and rinsed things down.
Get out of lala land, the real desert is a place of beauty and peace.
I do enjoy the desert outside of LA, but I need to live in a place with more rain. And preferably snow.
