Congress refuses to scrap automatic pay raises

Oh sure, they voted down next year's pay raise, but you can't expect them to actually do that all the time, can you?

I think Congress is actually a little scared right now, hence turning down the raise next year. But they're hoping that all of us little people will just forget about it and go away, so that they can continue getting pay raises while they destroy this country from the inside out.
