And we got more snow

If you'll pardon me, I'm going to suck down coffee and then go shovel three walkways.

We've gotten more snow in the past thirty days than we got all of last year.

Yeah it only snows harder when things warm up, dontchaknow? (Except when it doesn't, of course.) That's the beauty of Global Warming... doesn't matter what the actual weather is, it's proof of the claim.

    Warmer? "Global Warming"
    Colder? "Global Warming"
    Dryer? "Global Warming"
    Wetter? "Global Warming"
    More storms? "Global Warming"
    Fewer storms? "Global Warming"
and on and on and on, boogie-oogy-oogy...

Just like any New Age religion.

  2. I’ll make another pot & you can come do my driveway & the road ‘cause I’m in the same situation. It’s only 1/2 a mile’s worth of digging….

  3. P2 - they make plows you can attach to all kinds of vehicles, you know.

  4. Yup, and sooner rather than later you run out of places to push it. My 2 neighbors & I can clear it all in an hour using good ol’ fashioned walk behind blowers. Gets it off into the trees far enough that we don’t flood out come breakup in May. You’re still welcome up here anytime… mid to late August is great; the silvers are runnin then

  5. We've had that problem in Northern Idaho. Nowhere to put the snow. Horses are pretty much confined to the area around the barn because they can't walk through 12 feet of snow. It makes things interesting.

And at some point, I'm going to do the Ultimate Coast to Coast ride - Deadhorse, Alaska to Key West, Florida. But I need a different bike to do that. My low-slung cruiser ain't making the road to Deadhorse, and it doesn't have a large enough tank.

If'n you swing through OKC (junction of I-35 & I-40), let me know. I'll be honored to buy you an adult beverage and a steak. (Outback, probably, unless I can afford Cattleman's.)

  7. Drum - I might be there this summer. I'm going to try the Four Corners ride in June, and I'm trying to avoid riding through Texas so I'm swinging north for that stretch.
