Comey insisted in his testimony he believed his personal memos were unclassified, though he hinted one or two documents he created might have been contained classified information.
(.....)
But when the seven memos Comey wrote regarding his nine conversations with Trump about Russia earlier this year were shown to Congress in recent days, the FBI claimed all were, in fact, deemed to be government documents.
While the Comey memos have been previously reported, this is the first time there has been a number connected to the amount of the memos the ex-FBI chief wrote.
Four of the memos had markings making clear they contained information classified at the “secret” or “confidential” level, according to officials directly familiar with the matter.
I want his ass in jail. He's a liar and a crook who broke the law for his Democrat Party masters.
He likely is that dumb.
ReplyDeleteGiven all that he's admitted to doing, he appears to be exceedingly incompetent. He's a political/bureaucratic operative. He absolutely thinks that this I how things operate in D.C. and in the halls of power.
It's not just him. This is how most of the folks in D.C. think, even Senators and Representatives. They think that the law applies to them differently because they are in the halls of power, the secret clubhouse. This is why HRC lost. A large proportion of the population still believes in the law. They still believe that it applies to everyone equally.
That proportion of the population seems, maybe, to be shrinking, though. Unless such a trend is reversed, when things finally slide enough, we'll slip to oligarchy, then despotism.
He has admitted to violating national security policy and at least one other Federal felony, solely to push a political policy that the elected officers who are granted the authority to make those decisions had specifically decided against.
ReplyDeleteThat would mean that the policy was made under illegal duress, which adds to the punishment, and opens him up to further charges of mutiny (or the civilian equivalent), and violations of his oath of office.
