But, like... DUDE!

Pot's natural, man!

Yeah, so's arsenic.  Your point?

Look....  it's not really all that hard.  Just observe the average long-term pot-smoker against those who don't.  It's like observing a long-term alcoholic.  They are reduced to their addiction.

"But Dude, pot's not addictive!"

So you're smoking it every single day why?

I used to use it for pain control, because I could titrate the dosage just enough to dull the pain while not using enough to make me stupid. I will leave it to you to judge whether it affected me in a negative fashion.

"In strict medical terms, marijuana is far safer than many foods we commonly consume. For example, eating 10 raw potatoes can result in a toxic response. By comparison, it is physically impossible to eat enough marijuana to induce death. Marijuana in its natural form is one of the safest therapeutically active substances known to man. By any measure of rational analysis, marijuana can be safely used within the supervised routine of medical care." -- Francis Young, Administrative Law Judge of the DEA, "In The Matter of Marijuana Rescheduling Petition" [Docket #86-22], (September 6, 1988), p. 57

  2. So you're saying you used to give Einstein a run for his money, eh?

I do see medical uses for marijuana. But the vast majority of "medical" marijuana users use it to get baked as all get out on a daily basis. There are enough "medical" marijuana shops in Los Angeles alone that I'm beginning to think every other person either has cancer or glaucoma.

Well, my IQ was measured higher than Einstein's was estimated, but not by much (only 8 points). Given that I have not had a pain-free day since I first blew out my knee in July, 1986, and add in the bad hip, bad back, occasional migraines, fibromyalgia, and all the rest, I would be zonked on pain pills anyway. It's easier to use something that eases the pain without making me too stupid to remember to breathe.
