Swap

So Obama traded five terrorist leaders for one POW, did he?

Did he hit them up with the plague first?  Maybe some Ebola?  If not, why not?

Look, there's a reason you don't negotiate with terrorists.  If you reward their hostage taking, they take more hostages.  But of course, that's only a political inconvenience for the SCOAMF, as Obama really doesn't give a damn about the military unless they can be used to further his political career.

He violated the law, broke a long-standing policy of "not negotiating with terrorists" and set the price of one American at five terrorists (which means they only need to capture 30 more to clear Gitmo entirely). Not to mention promoting the deserter from PFC (which was his rank when he walked away from his guard post) to Sergeant, and is planning on promoting him further still.

Meanwhile, a Marine who got confused near the southern border languishes in prison in Mexico, because the State Department can't be arsed to exert themselves and say "hey, cut the guy loose, and we'll send you a nice fruit basket or something".

I don't recognize this country any more. Maybe that was what he meant by "fundamental transformation", but he WILL NOT like the end game.

  4. The push-back they're getting, and their reaction to that push-back (calling the troops who served with Bergdahl a bunch of swift-boating loons) is just a fantastic example of how out-of-touch this administration is. They had no clue what the reaction from the military was going to be, and they ignored everybody in their quest to make this deal happen.

    They're clueless.
