Gonna piss some folks off.  So be it:

That comment- which I hear all the time- is high on the list of ignorant things a human can let come out of it’s mouth. Look around you at the married couples you know. Unless you’re living in Stepford, the odds are that all those people have their own problems, and to suggest that gay couples do not is ignorant in the extreme. ” I don’t see what the problem is” The problem is that Gay marriage is not about them seeking happiness, period., it’s about a government mandated wedge, made for a vanishingly small portion of the population, purpose built to destroy the churches who will not accept their lifestyle. “I don’t see that, at all. All the gay people I know are really nice” You don’t see it because you choose to ignore it.

Emphasis mine.  And I would say that it's not just designed to destroy the churches, it's designed to destroy the institutions who refuse to accept open homosexuality.  Disagree?  Then tell me why I must now shower with a person who is sexually attracted to men, but I can't shower with women.  You want to talk discrimination?  That's discriminatory right there.

Since I have no energy

I'm just going to pass along this link from Ann Barnhardt:  Excommunicate the Bishops.

Back when there was a New Ledger, I wrote a now long-forgotten piece excoriating the Bishops in this country for complicity in its passage, for not speaking up, for not excommunicating the public officials who actively fight for the abortion license despite the infallible teachings of our Church — and by extension, for enabling a culture of license that enables the Culture of Death. I stand by every word, and would like to add a few things. Let me start with the most basic one.

You can all, each of you, and I say this after a week of prayerful meditation and with all of the respect I can give, go straight to the darkest pit in the lowest valley of the Ninth Layer of Hell and burn there.

And I agree with all of it - it's not just the politicians who wrap themselves up in the flag of the Church during election season and then disavow it's teachings during the rest of their term, it's the Church officials who allow them to do it.  Every time Nancy Pelosi screams for abortion while claiming to be Catholic, there is a bishop who sees it and allows it to happen.

The leadership of the Church has allowed the rot to spread.  And they must be included in the problematic tally.

Day Four

And I still feel like a can of smashed assholes.

Lord, I hate being sick.  I made it into work, got four hours into my day and was sent home.  So now I get to sit here and do nothing, because I don't have the energy.  Blah.

Day two of being sick

And it's the nasty, energy-sucking, lay on the couch and feel miserable kind of illness.

Blah.  I really, REALLY hate being sick.
