I don't know, man. To each their own, but speaking as a father of one boy and one girl, I don't think this was the best way to handle it. Perhaps this parenting style led to the rebellious attitude. Who knows?
I think shooting the computer might be over the top (just think what the anti-gunners will make of this!) but he was right to call her out on Facebook, and then just confiscating the computer would have been enough.

ReplyDeleteNo, I like the finality of it. There will be no "But when am I getting my computer back?" You'll get a computer when you buy one.
ReplyDeleteAs far as "When do I get it back?" the answer is "You don't. This one's mine now, and you can have another when you get a job and buy it."
