Anne McCaffrey has passed

Damn, I remember reading her books by the dozens when I was growing up.  I had an Anne McCaffrey section in my little library.

She was a special writer with a special talent.  You could do much worse for your kids than buying them the "Dragonriders of Pern" set and giving it to them for Christmas.

    Now, that's sad to hear. I thoroughly enjoyed the Dragonriders of Pern series, and wish there had been more. Now, there never will be.

    I just finished The Dragonriders of Pern for the umpteenth time. I started my twins out on it many years ago and they still enjoy reading Annes stories. She will be missed by many.
