I know that there are much better writers on the internet than I am, and I know that they are probably penning (or have penned) a message for today. So I'll go read them, and think to myself "I wish I would have written that."
But today, I'm going to get in uniform, and carry a flag in front of a parade. But unlike most parades, this one won't end at a courthouse or in the middle of downtown. This one will end at a cemetery, and that's when I'll stand there at attention with my flag, while we remember all those who died before I ever thought of raising my right hand. And we'll remember all those still fighting as we speak.
While you're eating a hotdog and drinking a beer, remember WHY you have this day to do so.
