National Guard no longer qualifies for federal retirement because they are State employees?

But the White House said Sept. 25 that's it's not "appropriate to establish a precedent of treating service performed by a state employees as active duty for purposes of the computation of retired pay."

This came directly from BO our current POTUS. The point of it was to cut military spending when he advised Congress to cut off pension to 26 WWII Alaska National Guard soldiers. He is concerned about the priorities of the budget and thinks this is the place to go with it. Can we not give him his retirement when he is done damaging this country at the end of this term? Please? Please? Please?
