Bob Melvin, Fired

OK, those of you who are not baseball fans can just skip ahead.

Bob Melvin, the Mariners manager, was fired on Monday.

So, just to get things straight, the head office traded Carlos Guillen to the Detroit Tigers, but Bob Melvin gets the blame for not having an adequate shortstop.

The head office traded away Freddie Garcia to the Chicago Whitesox, but Bob Melvin gets the blame for not having a Number One Ace.

The head office aquired Rich Aurilia and Scott Spezio, but Bob Melvin gets the blame for a non-defensive infield.

The head office has been calling up rookies from Tacoma like there was no tomorrow, but Bob Melvin gets the blame for not having an experienced team.

Brett Boone, Edgar Martinez, and the rest of the team struggle to deal with new players and the loss of team standards caused by the head office fucking with the team, but Bob Melvin gets the blame.

The head office trades away John Olerude, THE BEST DEFENSIVE FIRST BASE PLAYER IN THE AMERICAN LEAGUE, but Bob Melvin gets the blame for a weak first base.

If the Mariners actually wanted to get a better team, here's what needs to happen. Bill Bavasi, fired. Howard Lincoln, fired. The entire head office, fired. Maybe after we cut the dead weight and worthless dipshits in the head office, we can start to get a better team in Seattle.

Until then, the head office is just going to continue to blame the manager, and the Mariners will be in last place in the AL West.

Reminds me of the DNC for a reason........
