Happy Birthday

On June 14th, 1775, the US Army was first mustered. I am proud to say that I wore that uniform, and I'm equally proud of every soldier, past and present, who has served with honor and distinction. The Big Green Machine, This Man's Army, whatever name given to it by both friends and enemies, the US Army embodies the same thing to everyone of sound mind.

Freedom.

Two-hundred and twenty nine years.... and still going strong!

HOORAH!

Dude.. I didn't know you were THAT old!

    :D

Sorry, just trying to make you laugh.

On a more serious note. I had no idea that the army had a birthday. Might be because I don't watch much TV, and that even if I did, the media probably wouldn't mention it.

Thank God for blogs. Someones got to keep these events and stories alive.

  2. That's right, you young whippersnapper! Old George and I crossed into Trenton together and beat those darn Redcoats! I've been kept alive these past centuries with a combination of oatmeal and bottled oxygen!

    Heh.
