Good Bye, Comanche

We hardly knew ye.

I can't say that I'm all broken up over this. The original design kept getting outdated, and the task that the Comanche was assigned to do was overtaken by Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. There was no reason to keep a very high-priced almost obsolete piece of equipment on the table. Recon can be done by UAVs, and to be honest the Apache Longbow carries more weaponry than the Comanche could, for a heck of a lot less money. The Chomache was supposed to be armed recon and light attack. When we can put a drone with a Hellfire missile in the air, the Comanche isn't needed.

It was a very cool, very kick-ass helicopter, but we need to focus our resources right now. The $6.9 BILLION dollars could have bought quite a few Apaches and Predators. (That's $6,900,000,000 for those who want to see the zeros.)
