You can have peace. Or you can have freedom. Don't ever count on having both at once. - Robert A. Heinlein -

Andrew Sullivan is foaming. I don't believe I have ever seen a previously rational man reduced to a spittle-ejecting vein-bulging near-psychopathic raver. It was the Amendment that President Bush proposed that did it. With a bit of Mel Gibson's movie sprinkled in. Bottom line according to Sullivan: this is the start of a Falwell-Robertson-Santorum gambit to remove all privacy from American life. The Passion is a "pornographic" attempt to rile all evangelical Christians to drive people unlike them into the cellars and sewers.
It's sad, really. Sullivan has been a favorite read of mine.
Right now he is nothing more than a frantic and raving madperson.
