I'm tired. I'm worn out. My brain activity is near zero, and I dread going in to work each day. It's the end of the fiscal year, which means that I run around finding things to do because all the money is gone, and the bulk of my work requires a cash flow.
Lots of online training. But you can only sit at a computer training for so long before your brains leak out your ears and you run around screaming "I'M A POLISH JUMPING PENIS AND I'M HERE TO SAVE YOU!" And at that point your co-workers lock you in a fancy white coat and lock you in a closet until after the new Fiscal Year beings.
Hell, my body is just plain sore. I skipped the workout this morning. My shoulder is thanking me. My legs are thanking me. I'm kind of at a point where all I want to do is make my body feel better. I think the past six years of my life have worn me down to the point where I need to take a whole lot of leave all at once and just let my body recuperate.
Ah hell, whining never solves anything. Let's go punch a hippy. That'll make me feel better. And the Left has been calling for war for a good long time now. Let's give it to 'em.
Any reports about hippy punching in Wisconsin is not me. I was not here. You didn't read this.
You can have peace. Or you can have freedom. Don't ever count on having both at once. - Robert A. Heinlein -

If you can hook up to a good soundsystem....
Do it.
And then turn up the volume.
And then hit "Play".
Oh hell yes.

Homebrew updates
The ginger beer has been fermenting for over a month. We pulled a sample out and gave it a try tonight. Good flavor, needs a bit of refinement. It's going to be high alcohol content for a beer, but not in the wine range, more around 8-9% abv. We're thinking about adding a few of the "cookie" spices to it and calling it gingersnap beer.
All in all, it's going to be a success, but it's going to still need some work.
Oh, and we started a batch of mead tonight, using a sherry yeast. That's going to be good.

The Last Centurion
If you haven't read it yet, go buy it and read it. John Ringo, The Last Centurion. I read it a while ago, and pulled it out of my bookshelf today. I think I'm going to read it again.
When I was reading it the first time, I was struck at how much the fictional government mirrored our current government. I'm pretty sure it's going to strike me even harder this time.

Quote of the day, Obamneycare Edition
Via the Mistress of Snark:
The media promptly wet itself a little bit with joy, since an Obama/Romney race in November of next year would be their dream situation, being, as it were, a sort of de facto second Democrat primary.Yep. I've said since the 2008 election - Romney can't win, because of Romney care, which he has never, ever disavowed. I see nothing has changed since then.

Just how disgusting is Paul Krugman?
Let me put it his way - Paul Krugman is so disgusting and pathetic, that anything associated with him is automatically brought lower for having been so. Whatever awards he's won are that much lesser for having been given to him. The New York Slimes, well, they've hit the bottom of the cesspool and begun digging deeper, and having Krugman as a featured writer only makes them even worse. At this point, I wouldn't use the NYT for toilet paper, as my sphincter deserves better.
And the people who read Krugman and agree with him? Well, if everything around Krugman becomes lesser, well.... you figure it out.
Paul Krugman - a perfect example of what is wrong with this country.

September 11th
I know there is a God, because I've seen the Devil.
Just as Pearl Harbor was the defining event of my Grandfather's time, September 11th is mine. I can't say the same about all of America - I've met too many people who don't care. I've met too many people who think that America is the enemy, not the people, the culture, the ideology, the religion that attacked us.
But I know that those people are wrong.
I know that this fight is far from over, and I know that there will be others fighting it long after I'm gone. But I also know it's a fight that needs to be fought, and won.
Never Forget.
And yeah, I consider the Stars and Stripes Forever to be our unofficial National Anthem. Now here's the official one:
