No better example
Of why the Left side of the political spectrum should never, ever, EVER be allowed to control the slightest part of this country again.
Check it out yourself.
The Democrats have become nothing more than carping parasites, unable to function without sucking the life out of better people. A destructive, worthless group of infantile jackasses, contributing nothing while devouring everything they can get their grubby paws on. A group of sub-human ghouls, japing and gibbering at their betters, while in the real world people are suffering and dying and the Left does nothing but scream at the very people trying to help.
When disaster strikes, the Right bands together and does whatever it can to help people affected. The Left bands together to blame President Bush and hurl insults at the Right.
Disgusting, vile, gutless worms. They are not Americans, they are the enemy. If they spent half as much time and effort helping the people hurt by the hurricane as they do hurting the helpers, we might be able to rebuild in record time. But the greedy, power-hungry, tyrannical Left does nothing unless they can personally gain from it. Helping out people devistated by a hurricane doesn't advance them one inch politically, so they don't lift a fucking finger.
They can all rot in hell.

Livin' in the Twilight Zone
Read this article titled, "New Orleans is Sinking," and then look at the publication date.
Bullwinkle pulls a rabbit out of his hat
The following is from Random Numbers:
"An August 28th AP article admits that President Bush personally urged Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco to order mandatory evacuation of New Orleans long before Katrina struck.
The America-hating left’s warped ideology relies so much on dishonesty and the predisposition of the their constituents to accept it that facts go unnoticed by them. Reality based? Not by a long shot…."
"An August 28th AP article admits that President Bush personally urged Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco to order mandatory evacuation of New Orleans long before Katrina struck.
Gov. Kathleen Blanco, standing beside the mayor at a news conference, said President Bush called and personally appealed for a mandatory evacuation for the low-lying city, which is prone to flooding.Hearing the version of events touted as fact by the lying scum that refers to itself as “reality based” seems to point to an extremely unreal definition of reality. To hear them tell it Bush not only ignored the danger, he personally cut the funds needed to prevent it in the first place. As any high-school government student would be able to tell you if it was wasn’t for the wonderful job of brainwashing done on our youth by the Marxist group of otherwise unemployable useful idiots known as the NEA, Presidents PROPOSE budgets, but congress actually writes them to suit their own agendas. And as the article clearly points out, President Bush pleaded with the governor to order mandatory evacuations. What New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin did instead was issue a suggestion:
The mayor called the order unprecedented and said anyone who could leave the city should. He exempted hotels from the evacuation order because airlines had already canceled all flights.Mandatory evacuations don’t use the word “should”, they use the word “must”. If you’ve seen any TV at all in the last few days you’ve seen hundreds of buses, both city and school system, sitting on parking lots and in many cases partially underwater in New Orleans. Those buses could have carried out evacuees that couldn’t afford to leave otherwise, saving evacuees and buses from the flooding.
The America-hating left’s warped ideology relies so much on dishonesty and the predisposition of the their constituents to accept it that facts go unnoticed by them. Reality based? Not by a long shot…."

I wish this was satire, but it's not
Turns out Planned Parenthood is doing its part to "help" Hurricane Katrina victims:
Planned Parenthood Federation of America interim president Karen Pearl lauded her group's efforts in a recent email to its supporters.Wow. That's great. Now HOW ABOUT SOME CLEAN WATER AND SOME FOOD! Idiot.
"As Hurricane Katrina ripped through the southeastern United States, Planned Parenthood [is] there to offer one free month of birth control or one free emergency contraception kit to women from Louisiana and Mississippi," Peal wrote.
Hurricane, continued
Powerful letter at Power Line.
In another post, a Power Line reader points us to the reasons why there were only 100,000 people left in New Orleans when Katrina struck. You'll never guess who prompted the mandatory evacuation.

Fuming Mayor
The mayor of New Orleans is pissed.
Why are those buses still there? Why weren't they used to evacuate people on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday?
The emergency plan found on his City's web site has been an abject failure.
And his police force has done a Columbine, preferring to cower rather than get in there and keep order.
Mayor Nagin needs a mirror.

A day before President Bush headed to the hurricane-ravaged South, Mayor Ray Nagin lashed out at federal officials, telling a local radio station "they don't have a clue what's going on down here."I guess that's understandable, but then again I noted these pictures this morning:
Nagin's interview Thursday night on WWL radio came as President Bush planned to visit Gulf Coast communities battered by Hurricane Katrina, a visit aimed at alleviating criticism that he engineered a too-little, too-late response.
"They flew down here one time two days after the doggone event was over with TV cameras, AP reporters, all kind of goddamn — excuse my French everybody in America, but I am pissed," Nagin said.
Nagin said he told Bush in a recent conversation that "we had an incredible crisis here and that his flying over in Air Force One does not do it justice ... I have been all around this city and that I am very frustrated because we are not able to marshal resources and we are outmanned in just about every respect."

"I am absolutely disgusted. After the tsunami our people, even the ones who lost everything, wanted to help the others who were suffering," said Sajeewa Chinthaka, 36, as he watched a cricket match in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
"Not a single tourist caught in the tsunami was mugged. Now with all this happening in the U.S. we can easily see where the civilized part of the world's population is."
Sri Lanka has been embroiled in a civil war since 1983. The Sri Lankan government estimates more than 50,000 people have been killed in the war. The government has imposed strict censorship on media coverage of the war.

BDS sufferers start projecting
That's Bush Derangement Syndrome, for those who are wondering. And the people who suffer from BDS are now projecting their issues on the President.
So, for those who skipped over DW's post, let me remind you of what the Donks think right now:
Got that? In a nutshell, it's "Fuck the red-staters, they deserved to suffer, and Bush wants Democrats to die".
I think that if the past five years have shown us anything, it is how completely and totally incompetant and unfit the Democrats are to hold any kind of power what so ever.

"This President is never gonna do the right thing. I think somewhere deep down inside him he takes a lot of joy about losing people, if he thinks they vote Democrat or if he thinks they're poor, or if he thinks they're in a blue state, whatever his reasons are not to rescue those people who are (planning?) for their safety."
So, for those who skipped over DW's post, let me remind you of what the Donks think right now:
"A large part of me still believes that many of these W-worshipping numbskulls deserve to suffer and to die. They brought it on themselves. Let them look to Jayzuss for aid: It's time they stopped leeching off the more productive blue staters."

America's Weakness
Hurricane Katrina, and the aftermath in New Orleans, has highlighted an issue that I think we're going to see more and more often. America, over the past decades, has become increasingly unwilling to get their hands dirty, admit that some people are worth killing, and get the damn job done. Because what we see in New Orleans right now makes me sick.
Besides my obvious question of "What the fuck are tourists still doing in New Orleans?", my pertinant question is "Why are the people who are raping and looting and committing mayhem in New Orleans not shot on sight?" And I think it's because the politicians in charge are incapable of giving those orders. They simply can't do it. They can't get the job done. They're too weak.
In any disaster of this magnitude, you will have a small segment of the population that behaves like mindless animals. The key to helping the rest of the population is insuring that those mindless animals DO NOT CONTROL THE SITUATION! And yet we have rape and assault going on in an area where people are supposed to go to be helped? That is unacceptable, no ifs, ands, or buts. If you tell people "Come on over here, we'll help you" and then allow the kind of lawlessness that we are seeing, you have failed to protect the very people you claim to want to help. If you cannot stop someone from getting raped in what is supposed to be a safe area, then you had no business bringing those people to that area to begin with.
It is to the point where people are shooting at National Guard helicopters.
These mindless animals are shooting at the very people who are trying to bring food and water into the city. Can you give me any logical reason for that? And can you give me any logical reason for why these shooters are still among the living? While watching the news this morning, I heard a reporter say that FEMA was pulling out of some areas due to the danger that the mindless animals posed to their rescue workers. Rescue workers had their lives put in jepardy by worthless thugs who want to murder, rape and kill the very people trying to help them.
Why are those thugs still breathing?
I believe that there are too many people in this country who are unable to make the hard disision to simply say "Shoot those animals until they run and hide". You cannot help people in a disaster of this magnitude if you don't control the area that you're trying to bring help to. You can't help someone if you cannot stop some worthless thug from raping or beating them. And you can't bring help to an area if the rescue workers are too damn scared for their lives to go into that area. The guns should have come out long ago. There should have been orders to shoot on sight any person seen committing a crime like rape or murder. But that didn't happen.
It seems like the people in charge just couldn't give that kind of order. And people in New Orleans are now suffering for it.
In the future, after we get the situation under control, there can be lots of hindsight on what should have been done better, what didn't get done right, or what didn't happen at all. But right now, we need to help the people of New Orleans, and we cannot do that until the thugs, murderers and animals currently in control of New Orleans are dead. Not in jail, not "dialogued" with, but dead and floating in the water. And despite all the tough talk coming from the politicians, crime and thugs are still running rampant in the city. The people in charge are simply too weak to give the orders. They all want to be "nice", and "compassionate". They want to be "nuanced" in their response. And I wonder how many women have been raped because of it.
I wonder how long it will be before someone finally gives the authorization to pull the trigger. It's already been too long.
At the Superdome, groups of refugees broke through a line of heavily armed National Guardsmen in a scramble to get on to the buses.
Nearby, about 15,000 to 20,000 people who had taken shelter at New Orleans Convention Center grew ever more hostile after waiting for buses for days amid the filth and the dead.
Police Chief Eddie Compass said there was such a crush around a squad of 88 officers that they retreated when they went in to check out reports of assaults.
"We have individuals who are getting raped, we have individuals who are getting beaten," Compass said. "Tourists are walking in that direction and they are getting preyed upon."

And now, a word from the Left side of the blogosphere
This little rant about sending aid to hurricane victims, or raTHer not sending aid, from BradBlog is just priceless. You have to read it to believe it:
"A large part of me still believes that many of these W-worshipping numbskulls deserve to suffer and to die. They brought it on themselves. Let them look to Jayzuss for aid: It's time they stopped leeching off the more productive blue staters."What an ass.
Politically Speaking, Don't Forget What You Are Seeing and Hearing
The Blame Bush crowd is in Full Force, exploiting the Sacred Ground of Hurricane Katrina. It's horrible when Republicans politicize death. It's just another day's work for the hacks on the Left:
New Orleans "defenses were down" because Bush cut funding to restore wetlands that act as a buffer between the city and the sea.
Katrina's real name is Global Warming. Science cries bullshit, but who cares when there are political points to be made?
And where, oh WHERE are the Louisiana National Guard????
And what can Bush offer? Just a bad speech. You'd think he could do more; after all, he cut funding for the levees.
Anything more?
Just wait...

I wish there was a way to send the victims word from the outside world. There's a lot of folks who feel alone, desperate, defeated, frightened. That fresh water and a real meal sure is gonna hit the physiological spot, but fresh laughter and hope are equally nourishing. How does one get an encouraging word to a disaster area?

New Orleans, Looting & the Case for Gun Ownership
Michelle's coverage of the looting in New Orleans is the best argument for gun ownership I've ever seen.
Late Tuesday, Gov. Blanco spokeswoman Denise Bottcher described a disturbing scene unfolding in uptown New Orleans, where looters were trying to break into Children's Hospital.I was in a children's hospital not long ago, and this is just plain evil. If just one doctor or nurse in that hospital had access to a loaded gun, the looters would disperse (all but one or two anyway). And no, the looters are not looking for food.
Bottcher said the director of the hospital fears for the safety of the staff and the 100 kids inside the hospital. The director said the hospital is locked, but that the looters were trying to break in and had gathered outside the facility.
The director has sought help from the police, but, due to rising flood waters, police have not been able to respond.
Looters swarmed the Wal-mart on Tchoupitoulas Street, often bypassing the food and drink section to steal wide-screen TVs, jewelry, bicycles and computers. Watching the sordid display and shaking his head in disgust, one firefighter said of the scene: "It’s a f---- hurricane, what are you gonna do with a basketball goal?"Meanwhile, the folks at Kos are cheering on the looters:
"I'd loot too! It's quite insane there is no food, water, electricity or housing. I would take whatever is available to survive and make myself comfortable and not worry about paying for it.Wrongo! These people most definitely ARE stealing TV sets. They are quite clearly planning to profit from this situation, and to the lunatics at Kos it's all Bush's fault, as usual. What would they have him do? Land his helicopter on the Superdome and part the waters like Moses did with the Red Sea? It's like they hate him for not being Superman.
I don't think people are stealing TV sets.
Where the hell is Bush. He should be there right now. The entire city of New Orleans is largely destroyed. That's reason enough for a President to appear"
Why is Sandy Bergler STILL not in jail?
Recalling a question I had raised in an earlier post (see also here): "And why the hell isn't Sany Berger in Jail yet?" brought my attention to this item from the National Ledger.
"...government prosecutors have requested no jail time — just a $10,000 fine and the temporary removal of his security clearance."Well, that clears that up, no? Sandy Berger admitted to stealing five "code-word" classified (more secret than top-secret) security documents from the National Archives. He admitted to destroying three of the five documents. He admitted that he lied to federal investigators by telling them initially that he merely removed the documents “by accident.” How much time did Martha Stewart do for lying to federal investigators? And her claim that she had had a stop-loss order with her broker, though found to be false, was not a deliberate attempt to weaken national security by altering the historical record of our government's reactions to terrorism, like Sandy's lying was clearly meant to do. Sandy gets a slap on the wrist, and government prosecutors throw the book at Martha Stewart? What a joke.

Raging Dave posted about these degenerates previously. This cockroach needs some daylight! Just in case it was not made clear in press coverage of this dirtbag - Fred Phelps is a Democrat. Like I said, you knew it. He's protesting at funerals of fallen soldiers, he's got a hateful message, and........
But wait! There's more!
"In 1988, Phelps housed campaign workers for Al Gore's first presidential run; in 1989, his eldest son, Fred Jr., hosted a fundraiser for Gore's Senate campaign at his home . . . Because of their years as loyal Democrats, the Phelpses have even been invited to -- and attended -- both of Clinton's inaugurations."
But wait! There's more!
Fred Phelps, registered Democrat, organizer of Democratic activities and fund-raiser for Al Gore and Bill Clinton, also criticized the invasion of Iraq, sent a warm letter to Saddam Hussein full of compliments for his regime while asking for (and receiving) permission to send protesters against the coming Iraq invasion, claimed that the U.S. deserved September 11th (and that London deserved the recent bombings), and praised Castro for his leadership and moral stance against homosexuality.

How can these moms who still support George Bush and his insane war in Iraq want more innocent blood shed just because their sons or daughters have been killed? I don’t understand it. I don’t understand how any mother could want another mother to feel the pain we feel. I am starting to lose a little compassion for them. I know they have been as brainwashed as the rest of America, but they know the pain and heartache and they should not wish it on another. There was a time when I wished the media would report what other mothers and fathers of soldiers are saying.

More email from Stuart
After responding to Stuart's first email, I recieved a second one today. It read:
My response:
I couldn't resist that last snark, although I probably should have. Think I was too harsh?
Nah, me neither.
I see that I opened a hornet's nest. I don't know about Communism vs. Democracy. I thought that was all done. I don't know about "the left" either. If memory serves, it was John Q. Adams who argued almost 200 years ago, when asked to support the Greek struggle for independence, we favor it, but we don't go abroad in search of monsters to destroy. In any event, look at the timing of the events of which you speak. When was the first attack on the World Trade Towers? Just after the Gulf War.
Yes! I believe that Aragon and Castille, Ferdinand and Isabella threw the Moors out by 1492. I also believe that Christian crusaders invaded the Middle East about a thousand years ago? Am I wrong? And so what if Osama says this or that. He is a dog baying at the moon. By the way, it's Andalusia, a lovely area with beautiful monuments to the Moors--architecture.
My response:
You don't know about Communism vs. Democracy? China, North Korea and Cuba are still alive and kicking, although only China and North Korea pose a threat out of those particular three. Are you saying that the DPRK poses no threat?
John Q. Adams made his statements when it took several months to travel from Europe to America. It now takes several hours. The threats from Adams' day have ceased to exist for the most part, while challenges that Adams could have never even dreamed of confront us now. While the prevailing thought behind Adams' remarks still remain valid, the circumstances to which those remarks apply have changed. Ignoring that simple fact is done only at your own peril.
Yes, the first attack on the WTC was after the First Gulf War. However, the attacks on Marines in Beirut was in 1984. The Iran Hostage Crisis was in 1979-1980. The murder of Israeli Olypians in Munich was in 1972. The Yom Kippur War and Seven Day War were before that. All these events were perpetrated by Muslim extremists, or in some events entire Muslim governments. Stop cherry picking events to try to prove your point, because it does you no favors.
The Crusades that you mention were a defensive war, all hyperbole aside. They were a response to the Muslim invasion of Spain and Eastern Europe. Have you ever stopped to think about why we have mosques in Budapest, but there's nary a christian church to be found in Saudi Arabia? The Ottoman Empire was rolling it's way west through Eastern Europe at the time of the Crusades, prompting a counter attack from Western countries. While the following crusades may have been invading the Middle East, they were prompted by the invasion of Europe by the Muslim Turks. At one point the Ottomans controlled Europe from Constantinople (which was then changed to Istanbul by the muslims) all the way to Vienna, as well as Spain, Portugal and the Southern regions of what is now France. I suggest you read a book titled "What Went Wrong" by Bernard Lewis. It's a bit dry to read, but it presents information in an unbiased format. Get yourself an education in that area's history.
Bin Laden may now be a dog baying at the moon, but until we removed the Taliban from Afganistan and started capturing or killing Al-Queda leaders, he was a big dog with huge financial resources and the will to use them. Or have you already forgotten that Bin Laden was the man behind September 11th? And what about the rest of the imams and terrorists who quote him almost verbatim in their speeches. Do you honestly think that a figurehead like Bin Laden is powerless? If so, I pity you, because you obviously have a lot to learn.
And my mispellings of Andalusia nonwithstanding, the whole reason it's "a lovely area with beautiful monuments to the Moors--architecture" is because the Moors invaded through the Strait of Gibraltar and held that area for hundreds of years. To this day the Spanish language has many Islamic influences due to the muslim presence during that time. You missed the point of that reference: It's an example of just how far the terrorists will go to justify their actions. Getting the USA out of the Middle East will in no way lessen the likelyhood or severity of terrorist attacks. If they can blame their problems on something that happened centuries ago, what makes you think they'll stop blaming us if we just go away? They won't. Andalusia and the USA are simply convienient targets to blame. What they want, and what they have always wanted, was the reinstation of the Caliphate and Shari'a law world wide. Barring that the utter destruction of any person who will not convert will suffice.
And don't worry about stirring up a hornet's nest. I always enjoy sharing knowledge with those who need it.
I couldn't resist that last snark, although I probably should have. Think I was too harsh?
Nah, me neither.

I refuse to USE his actual name because I don't want to give this foul fucking bastard the links. I would much prefer to meet this worthless fucking parasite in a dark ally, where I could break him into multiple pieces and dance on his shattered fucking kneecaps while he screamed.
This is one man I don't want to kill. Oh, no. Killing him would end the pain too quickly. I want to break him, not once, but multiple times. I want to put him in so much pain that whatever is left of his pitiful little mind snaps, and he's forced to live the rest of his life in a hospital bed, drinking his dinners through a fucking straw, while he seeths and festers and stews in his own hatred.
I want to put him in so much pain, he'll curse the day his mother gave birth to him. Although "gave birth" indicates that this little shitwad is human. His mother probably just shat him out into a canal during a drinking binge, and he swam around in larval form until he was old enough to crawl out of whatever cesspool he came from.
Care to know who I'm talking about?

Someone help me out.....
I don't watch much TV, and I certainly don't watch a fucking blowhard dipshit like Bill Maher, so who exactly is the idiot woman featured in this "Hog on Ice" post?
(In all honesty, I just wanted an excuse to post that paragraph, 'cause it's funny as hell!)
As some of you mentioned, I did see where "that idiot woman" was on Bill Maher’s show last night. That had to be a winner of a show. What I can't believe is that with both her and Bill Maher in the same room, there wasn't some sort of lethal, critical mass of stupidity event. A giant mushroom cloud of narcissistic idiocy, irradiating viewers and audience members with kryptonite-like rays—causing victims to wander the streets, void of any ability to engage in meaningful dialogue, dead to rational thought, and unable to utter a complete sentence that doesn't include the phrase, "Bush is Hitler" or “It's the oil, stupid”. Now that I think about it, that probably happened when McGovern ran for President. Today, we're just experiencing the genetic fallout from that event.
They’re not really from this planet, you know.

Pray for New Orleans
If the worst happens, that city will be under twenty to thirty feet of water by the end of today.
Steve puts yet another facet on the news regarding how Katrina could effect your life.
Since the eco-freaks have been blocking the building of refineries in this country for the past three decades, I think it's only appropriate that we find an alternitive fuel source that works by burning hippies. The grease from their hair could last for months. Then we wouldn't be so dependant on a port in Louisiana.
Seriously folks, the biggest source of damage to this country right now is us. We're the ones allowing a group of brain-dead fuckwits to set our policy. We're the ones who allow feces-flinging monkeys to be in charge. And we're the one who has to live with the consequences. Since this government has bowed to the environmental groups extremist movements for decades, we are now in a position where one hurricane hitting one port in one state can screw our oil production and refinery capability straight to hell.
Gee, I hope it's worth it.
Steve puts yet another facet on the news regarding how Katrina could effect your life.
Most people have never heard of Port Fourchon, but it is the nation's premiere oil and gas support services facility--and right now it lies within 12 miles of Hurricane Katrina's CAT-3 or CAT-4 bullseye. Over 600 platforms and 75% of the Gulf’s deepwater projects lie within a 40-mile radius of Port Fourchon. Unfortunately, Port Fourchon is a Louisiana island. An island that is connected to the mainland by a single two lane bridge...an old, single two lane bridge. This bridge is the only means of getting cargo and supplies to the Port. More than 1,000 cargo trucks go across this bridge each day, delivering materials to the Port for Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) drilling rigs. If there’s no bridge, there’re no drilling parts and supplies.
Do you see where this is going? When people say our infrastructure is vulnerable, they are not kidding—and not all of it is about terrorism.
The Port is crucial to our national security—for a number of other reasons. While the Persian Gulf provides around 23% of the U.S. oil supply, Port Fourchon supports the offloading of over 18% of all domestic oil and gas and 13% of all oil imports. Port Fourchon is the site of the enormous booster pumps that carry crude oil from the Louisiana Offshore Oil Port (LOOP) to underground salt dome storage areas in Galliano. The LOOP is the first and only offshore oil terminal operating in the United States. It's located less than 20 miles south of Port Fourchon in the Gulf of Mexico and allows the off-loading of oil from supertankers into special pipelines that connect directly to more than 30% of the nation’s refining capacity. The LOOP takes in about one million barrels of foreign oil and 300,000 barrels of domestic crude from Gulf of Mexico OCS each day. Loose that capacity and you've got big trouble.
Put another way, there is no other dot on the map that is more important to the nation’s energy supply, yet it’s connected to the mainland by an obsolete bridge and highway and it has a possible CAT-4 hurricane bearing down on it. It’s not a good situation and Port Fourchon authorities have been warning government officials about it for years.

DAMN SKIPPY!
Man, the only think I don't like about Australia is their gun control. But when their politicians make speeches like this, I gotta wonder when they'll come around to allowing Australians to be citizens and not subjects again.
By god, we need to change Australia to America, print that out and affix it to the seat back of every damn plane coming to America. We need to put that on napkins in fast food joints. Don't like America? You can leave! We aren't going to stop you, and in fact we may assist you in finding another country that will respect your beliefs!
Go read California Conservative, which is where the link heads, to find out what else John Howard said. I really, really wish they would reconsider their gun control Down Under.
“We don’t care where people come from; we don’t mind what religion they’ve got or what their particular view of the world is. But if you want to be in Australia, if you want to raise your children in Australia, we fully expect those children to be taught and to accept Australian values and beliefs,” he said.
“We want them to understand our history and our culture, the extent to which we believe in mateship and giving another person a hand up and a fair go. And basically, if people don’t want to be Australians and they don’t want to live by Australian values and understand them, well basically they can clear off.“

This picture says it all
I know, I said I wouldn't say any more about Cindy Sheehan, but if I post a picture does that count?
Wow - look at all those cameras. Here's a close up:
Yes, that's Al Sharpton over Cindy Sheehan. I think David Duke is in there somewhere, too. Nice choreography, don't you think? You can go here to see the "before" version.
