I was just thinking about this today. Remember? The House of Saud were supposed to oblige their lapdogs in the House of Bush by driving oil prices down during the heat of the election. Instead, oil prices soared, braking the economic recovery in the US at critical time when voters would be voting their wallets. And since the elction, prices have fallen. Odd, eh?

Irony
Here is a commercial the the UCC wants to broadcast. The irony is the judgment placed on churches who take a conservative stand on issues related to homosexuality.
I find the fact that only minorities are turned away by skinhead looking "bouncers" to be an insult. Now, I am a cradle Presbyterian, so I've been indoctrinated to be all things to all people. In my experience, the issues in the church related to homosexuality are not who attends, but who gets married there and who gets ordained.
CBS and NBC refuse to air the commercial.

Latrinehadeen
So Brian Williams of MSNBC opined that bloggers are "on an equal footing with someone in a bathroom with a modem."
I find the remark to be kind of humorous. But at INDC Journal, they're taking it seriously and are attempting to concoct a name that represents the move from pajamas to the toilet, from "pajamahadeen" to "latrinehadeen", in effect. Or something like that.
My thing is: is that really necessary?
Need we change lexicon?
Not with the Morgan Long Handles Union Suit from Essential Apparel, we don't. This high quality union suit has it all: soft and absorbant ribbed knit, reinforced flat seams for smooth fit, full cut for greater comfort, full length button placket, shrinkage control for size and shape retention, rib cuffs, and (rubber, meet road), an easy opening one button vertical seat flap.
You see what I'm getting at?
Not really a good solution during the summer, of course, but during these winter months up North, you can go from Pajamahadeen to Latrinehadeen just by opening the vertical flap!
Going back may require some cleanup.

Facts on Fallujah
Charles at Little Green Footballs has concocted a slideshow of images and facts from Fallujah. Gotta see it.

Mfume to Step Down
Gawl it is weird without Raging Dave here. Weirder still knowing it may be months until he is heard from again.
Anyway, looks like Kweisi Mfume is stepping down from his position as chair of the NAACP. Also note in the story that the NAACP's tax exempt status is being examined since they [allegedly] have not remained politically nonpartisan, a no-no for tax exempt organizations.
Like that sercet hasn't been out for just a little while now.

Blogging on Monday will be meager...
...for me, at least. 4RWWs will be in a state of flux for a while; Dave's departure is a substantial body blow. I suspect he is the wacko with whom most of our readers identified most strongly. More on all of this later, perhaps Monday night. Good day, all.
