Random Thoughts
Driving back from a meeting today, I saw a Mazda pick-up truck, probably late 80's, with a bumper sticker that read "One Less SUV".
At that point, I knew the driver was an idiot. Let's review.
Newer engines, due to advances in technology, burn less gas, do it more effeciently, and put out less emissions. My mom's V8 Ford truck gets better gas milage and puts out less pollution than my 1988 Nissan V6 truck.
To make a long story short, that guy's little beater pick-up puts out more pollutants than a new Ford Explorer or Chevy Avalanch. In otherwords, a new SUV would be better for the environment that little smug prick liberal's truck.
Knee-jerk feelgood reactionism rules the day in Seattle, folks. A little bit of thought just ruins their day.

The Thirty Year-old Elephant
Ah, the seventies. Soldiers being spit on my fellow Americans, soldiers being attacked by their fellow citizens, military personell being assaulted and abused by other Americans....
Oh, wait. It's not the seventies, it's 2004.
Do I really have to mention "read the whole thing"?
Oh, wait. It's not the seventies, it's 2004.
She also described what things were like for her and her comrades around the Presidio. It's bad. Due to harrassment of troops by locals, military personel are forbidden from wearing uniforms off of base. Apparently this stems from an incident where a civilian threw coffee onto a sailor's dress whites. The sailor was about to beat the man bloody, but his buddies held him back. The civilian then charged the sailor with assault, even though the sailor had never made contact. The civilian was not charged with anything. Also, there have been attempts by civilians to gather intelligence on operations within the Presidio. Because my sister is trained in this stuff, she knows when she is being probed. She also knows what to do. I find this very disturbing. The community around the Presidio is openly hostile to aqll military personel, and there have been a number of anecdotal reports of troops being spat upon.
(.....)
We have a thirty year old elephant that was swept under the carpet, but that now has been dragged out into the open. Since we were afraid, as a nation, thrity years ago to deal with the traitors and ignorant agents of defeat then, we must now confront them again. Now we are locked in a battle for our very survival. Now, we have to confront our daemons, or be subjugated by them. While people are fretting about flu vaccines and other damned near pointless topics, we are fighting a war. We are surrounded externally by a vicious enemy being given succour by passive-aggressive powers under the guise of plausible deniability.
Do I really have to mention "read the whole thing"?
A reminder of Voter Fraud
One of my wonderful readers reminded me of voter fraud and itimidation that occured in years past. I wanted to remind people of it, because it's the same tactics that you're going to see used by the Left in this current election.
The Keyboard Pundit has more links on her blog. Go. Read. REMEMBER! It's the same crap, just a different election.
Everyone remember the massive case of voter fraud that took place here in Da Lou in 2000?
You know, the one where DEAD BLACK PEOPLE were voting.
The one where the DEMOCRATIC -- and also black-- City Comptroller Darlene Green met with her other associates of the National Coalition on Black Voter Participation, a group designed to register and motivate black voters, at a fast food restaurant where they made up hundreds of registrations using old records, social security numbers from dead people and felons.
This is also the same election where the boyfriend-judge of Robin Carnahan, the Democratic candidate who wants to control the elections as Secretary of State, illegally kept the polls open until 11pm in an election where his floozie's mom (Jean Carnahan) was running against John Ashcroft on her dead husband's (Mel Carnahan) name, I assume to give them more time to stuff the ballot boxes. And of course the Democratic candidate for governor (blogged below also) lost a lawsuit where she tried to make it legal for provisional ballots to be casted any and everywhere without any respect for precinct or jurisdiction.

About those explosives...
Looks like maybe the reported amount of explosives missing has been slightly overstated.
Oy!
Oh, and guess who disappeared them? Coalition of the bribed, alas.
Funny, isn't, how the Left now posit that these 300 tons of stuff got stolen and hidden while American troops were in Iraq, just a year after guffawing about the possibility that Saddam moved his WMDs to Syria while President Bush and Secretary Powell were trying to pass the Global test in the United Nations? The enemy moved lots of stuff after we arrived, but while we were preparing to arrive, well Saddam & Company didn't move so much as a vial.
Ja.
Reminds me of the Bill Maher show, where last night they discussed Iraq and 9/11. President Bush was:
a) criticized for acting on intelligence regarding the threat from Iraq, and
b) criticized for not acting on intelligence regarding the threat from Al Qaeda.

Russia Helped Move Saddam's WMD To Syria
Guess what? It's October.....SUPRISE!!
Principled opposition? Nope. Self interested obfuscating criminals!
Why would that be:
AND:
The Stockholm International Peace Institute
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Remember Charles Dueffer's report said Saddam may have shipped a bunch of stuff to Syria. And remember this report from the UN inspectors entitled "Saddam shipped out WMD before war and after." That's vindication folks! Cram it down their snarling gobs!
Russian special forces troops moved many of Saddam Hussein's weapons and related goods out of Iraq and into Syria in the weeks before the March 2003 U.S. military operation, The Washington Times has learned.
Principled opposition? Nope. Self interested obfuscating criminals!
Most of Saddam's most powerful arms were systematically separated from other arms like mortars, bombs and rockets, and sent to Syria and Lebanon, and possibly to Iran, he said.
Why would that be:
The RDX and HMX, which are used to manufacture high-explosive and nuclear weapons, are probably of Russian origin, he said.
AND:
Russia was Iraq's largest foreign supplier of weaponry, he said.
The Stockholm International Peace Institute
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
The Russian arms-removal program was initiated after Yevgeny Primakov, the former Russian intelligence chief, could not convince Saddam to give in to U.S. and Western demands, this official said.
Documents reviewed by the official included itineraries of military units involved in the truck shipments to Syria. The materials outlined in the documents included missile components, MiG jet parts, tank parts and chemicals used to make chemical weapons, the official said.

How Many Tons Were There At Al Qa Qaa?
January 14, 2003 - The IAEA found 3 tons of RDX.
THREE What's that? There was another type of explosive that was supposed to be there in mass quantities....behind UN inspector SEALS no less! It sounds tough doesn't it - like they weren't getting into that shit no matter what, right? WRONG!
Then of course there's this asshole:
BLUSTER BLUSTER BLUSTER: "I'm John 'I don't fall down. That son of bitch pushed me down.' Kerry who reported for doody and I read in the NY Times that Bush let looters steal 380,000 tons of explosives, and without checking it out any further or even stopping to ponder what it would take to move such massive amounts of material, I made the bogus story my own. Don't vote for me! I'm a inept power-mad jackass."
But don't look over there:
Or else you might notice how the traitor, JOhn KErry, is trying to score political points at the expense of our soldiers by arm-chair-quarterbacking their efforts.
But the confidential IAEA documents obtained by ABC News show that on Jan. 14, 2003, the agency's inspectors recorded that just over 3 tons of RDX was stored at the facility — a considerable discrepancy from what the Iraqis reported.
The IAEA documents could mean that 138 tons of explosives were removed from the facility long before the start of the United States launched "Operation Iraqi Freedom" in March 2003.
THREE What's that? There was another type of explosive that was supposed to be there in mass quantities....behind UN inspector SEALS no less! It sounds tough doesn't it - like they weren't getting into that shit no matter what, right? WRONG!
The documents show IAEA inspectors looked at nine bunkers containing more than 194 tons of HMX at the facility. Although these bunkers were still under IAEA seal, the inspectors said the seals may be potentially ineffective because they had ventilation slats on the sides. These slats could be easily removed to remove the materials inside the bunkers without breaking the seals, the inspectors noted.
Then of course there's this asshole:
The missing explosives have become an issue in the presidential campaign. Sen. John Kerry has pointed to the disappearance as evidence of the Bush administration's poor handling of the war.
BLUSTER BLUSTER BLUSTER: "I'm John 'I don't fall down. That son of bitch pushed me down.' Don't vote for me! I'm a inept power-mad jackass."
But don't look over there:
The Bush camp has responded that more than a thousand times that amount of explosives or munitions have been recovered or destroyed in Iraq.
Or else you might notice how the traitor, JOhn KErry, is trying to score political points at the expense of our soldiers by arm-chair-quarterbacking their efforts.

Elbaradei Opposed Taking Iranian Violations To UNSC
Elbaradei opposed taking Iranian violations to UNSC AND He's seeking a 3rd term! AND he just unloaded a massive fabrication of a report about who's responsible for missing explosives in Iraq. The current administration opposes a third term for Elbaradei. Any question that this corrupt fuck was just trying to get Kerry elected? Not anymore.
Democrats = Cheaters
The party of thieving, lying, cheating crooks is at it again. Democrat Voter Fraud is being found in Ohio State, especially in Cleveland, Ohio, Oberlin College and Clark County, Ohio.
The Democrats, the party of criminals, has a long history of voter fraud, most notably in Chicago during the 1960 elections. Al Gore's attempt at voter fraud was a continuation of the Democrat's policy: Grab power any way you can. Kerry was behind in Ohio, so the Democrats found a way to ensure victory. Cheat, lie, and steal.
Couple this with all the Democrat-directed violence against conservatives, and you have yourself the perfect brew for riots when Bush wins. Hat tip to RNS for the links
Also from RNS comes this lovely little article about the "Party of Peace".
At this point, the Democrats aren't just another political party. They are the enemy.

Also from RNS comes this lovely little article about the "Party of Peace".
A Florida Democratic club has taken out a newspaper advertisement urging the assassination of Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld, and another partisan group is running a national television commercial with an actor impersonating President Bush's voice saying, "I used 9/11 as an excuse to invade Iraq."
The ad — a fund-raising appeal for Sen. John Kerry's presidential campaign — was paid for by the St. Petersburg Democratic Club and appeared in a Gulfport, Fla., weekly. It criticizes the "Bush Bunch" and compared the Iraqi insurgents to American patriots during the Revolutionary War. The advertisement includes this passage:
"They're Iraqi patriots who want us the hell out of their country, and we should get the hell out of their country now!"
"And then there's Rumsfeld who said of Iraq, 'We have our good days and our bad days,' " the ad continues. "We should put this S.O.B. up against the wall and say 'This is one of our bad days,' and pull the trigger."
At this point, the Democrats aren't just another political party. They are the enemy.
Phew
More Dem thuggery. I'd make an ad, if I were the Bush folks, a compilation of all of these incidents.
John Fonda Kerry - Enemy Supporter
Whether willingly or as a dupe, John Fonda Kerry did exactly what the Viet Cong and NVA wanted him to do.
John Fonda Kerry met with the North Vietnamese in Paris twice. The Kerry camp claims that he only went to Paris once, but FBI files prove yet AGAIN that John Fonda Kerry is a traitorous liar.
Other papers have been discovered that claim Kerry was taking orders directly from the communists.
John Fonda Kerry was a communist whore back in 1971, giving aid and comfort to the enemy. His condemning of the current war is more of the same. John Kerry, the surrender specialist, the anit-military Senator, the defeatist sailor, the enemy's best hope for victory. He was our enemy, and has never apologised for it. All his testimony before the Senate may well have been nothing but words put into his mouth by his communist puppet masters. We already know that it was all lies, the only question is whether he made up his own lies or simply repeated the lies of his North Vietnamese puppeteers. John Kerry did nothing but dance on communist strings to communist tunes, and the Left danced with him. And today, his hue and cry do nothing but embolden terrorists and make the US troops fear his possible election.
I know exactly what John Fonda Kerry will do if elected president. It's what he's advocated and done for over three decades now. Retreat, withdraw, surrender, capitulate. Retreat, withdraw, surrender, capitulate. All his actions and all his votes in Congress prove it. Repeat, withdraw, surrender, capitulate. Kerry was a communist whore in the 70's, and he's a terrorist whore today. He's been nothing but a whore and a parasite since the day he got back from Viet Nam. A gutless, cowardly, pathetic shill for America's enemies.
Only a gutless coward surrenders when he's winning. Only a worthless whore gives aid and comfort to our enemies. John Fonda Kerry would have America bend over and grab our ankles during his first day in the Oval Office. All you have to do is look at his record for the proof. Retreat withdraw, surrender, capitulate.
My distaste of that man grows every day.
Many thanks to Powerline for the links.
The CDEC Viet Cong document titled "Circular on Antiwar Movements in the US" notes, "The spontaneous antiwar movements in the US have received assistance and guidance from the friendly (VC/NVN) delegations at the Paris Peace Talks." It also notes that "The seven-point peace proposal (of the SVN Provisional Revolutionary Government) [the Viet Cong proposal advanced by one of its envoys, Madame Binh, operating out of Paris] not only solved problems concerning the release of US prisoners but also motivated the people of all walks of life and even relatives of US pilots detained in NVN to participate in the antiwar movement."
The significance of the documents lies in the way they dovetail with activities of the young Mr. Kerry as he led the VVAW anti-war movement in the spring of 1971.
John Fonda Kerry met with the North Vietnamese in Paris twice. The Kerry camp claims that he only went to Paris once, but FBI files prove yet AGAIN that John Fonda Kerry is a traitorous liar.
FBI surveillance and Mr. Kerry's own statements have established his two visits to Paris to meet with the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong delegations to the Paris Peace Talks as taking place in June of 1970 and August of 1971.
Other papers have been discovered that claim Kerry was taking orders directly from the communists.
The first documentary evidence that Vietnamese communists were directly steering John Kerry's antiwar group Vietnam Veterans Against the War has been discovered in a U.S. archive, according to a researcher who spoke with WorldNetDaily.
One freshly unearthed document, captured by the U.S. from Vietnamese communists in 1971 and later translated, indicates the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese delegations to the Paris peace talks that year were used as the communications link to direct the activities of Kerry and other antiwar activists who attended.
Kerry insists he attended the talks only because he happened to be in France on his honeymoon and maintains he met with both sides. But previously revealed records indicate the future senator made two, and possibly three, trips to Paris to meet with Viet Cong leader Madame Nguyen Thi Binh then promote her plan's demand for U.S. surrender.
John Kerry did nothing but dance on communist strings to communist tunes, and the Left danced with him. And today, his hue and cry do nothing but embolden terrorists and make the US troops fear his possible election.
But an old friend of mine who's still in uniform came close the other day. He badly wanted me to write another column before Election Day stressing that our troops are winning in Iraq.
He's an Army veteran of three wars. Now he's working to help Iraq become a democratic model for the Middle East. And he's worried.
Not about terrorists or insurgents. He's afraid John Kerry will be elected president.
"Kerry's rhetoric is giving the bad guys a thread to hang on," he wrote. "They're hoping we lose our nerve. They're more concerned with the U.S. elections than with the Iraqi ones."
My pal has been involved in every phase of our Iraq operations — dating back to Desert Storm. And he's convinced that the terrorists have risked everything to create as much carnage as they can before Nov. 2. Our troops are killing them left and right. The terrorists are desperate. They can't sustain this tempo of attacks much longer.
But Sen. Kerry insists that we're losing — giving our enemies hope that we'll pull out. No matter what else John Kerry may say, the terrorists only hear his criticisms of our president and our war.
I know exactly what John Fonda Kerry will do if elected president. It's what he's advocated and done for over three decades now. Retreat, withdraw, surrender, capitulate. King County Communists Steal Rural Resident's Land
And you wonder why I'm leaving this festering shithole?
Cover the children's ears folks, cause I'm about to pop!
The SeattleCommie-Apologiser Post Intelligencer manages to fawn and slobber all over the fucking commies in the city council for this, I might add. Reading this article in that fishwrap makes me wonder if the Seattle PI's editor wasn't under the city council's table giving each and every communist there a fucking blow-job. The King County Communists have just managed to steal over two-thirds of the land of private citizens by denying those citizens the use of their own damn land!
Here, let me pull out the pertinent part of that for ya.
"requires rural residential landowners to keep 65 percent of their land in native vegetation"
Over two-thirds of people's land is now completely unusable. Off limits. Untouchable. You have no right to do a damn thing with land that you've paid for. You can't do a damn thing with your own fucking property. This is a land grab, pure and simple, designed by the fucking communist cock goblins who sit on the King County council.
Of course Democrats say that! IT DOESN'T EFFECT URBAN RESIDENTS! It effects people who have bought and paid for acres upon acres of land, and now find themselves left with LESS THAN ONE-THIRD OF WHAT THEY PAID FOR!
Bullshit, bullshit, BULLSHIT! They accept all that because they don't want to live in the country! They accept all that because they don't want to drive for half an hour to get to work, or the grocery store, or they just like living in the city, but don't you fucking try to shove your "They want to prevent development" bullshit down my throat, you fucking communist bitch! YOU might be dumb enough to belive your own fucking bullshit, but the rest of us have more than two brain cells to rub together! And as an added bonus, ours aren't infected with syphillis like yours are!
But gee ChairmanMao Dow, I thought the government WASN'T SUPPOSED TO REGULATE MORALITY, YOU FUCKING HYPOCRITE! YOU SHIT STAINED THIEVING FUCKWAD! OR IS IT OK WHEN IT SUITS YOUR COMMUNIST NEEDS?!
GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
And do you know when they held the vote for these acts of outright theft? At ONE A.M. IN THE MORNING! THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING WAS WRONG!
Fuck it. I'm out of here in two months, and this whole communist shithole can fall into the fucking ocean for all I care. Just make this a lesson for those who STILL need a fucking clue.
The Democrats don't care about you. The Democrats don't care about private citizen's rights. The Democrats don't care about property rights. The Democrats don't care about the Constitution. The Democrats don't care about anything but gaining more and more power and forcing people to be their fucking slaves. The Democrats don't care about fairness. The Democrats don't care about what's right. The Democrats only care about making people kneel at their feet. The Democrats only care about stealing power, stealing people's money, stealing people's land, stealing people's dignity, and stealing power. The Democrats are nothing but power-hungry would-be slave masters, who want to put their bootheel on your neck and never lift it off until you're dead, limp in their chains of servitude while they grow fat from stealing the fruits of your labor.
The Democrats are a party of thieves, thugs, vandals, dictators, murderers, criminals, and whores. And they prove it every day.
Where's the fucking reset button?
WHEN CAN I PRESS THE FUCKING RESET BUTTON?!
Metropolitan King County Council has passed three ordinances that significantly limit what rural landowners can do with their property.
The 7-6 votes along party lines late Monday and early Tuesday create wider no-development buffers - up to 100 yards - along streams and wetlands; tighten regulations on how much water can run off newly developed sites; and bar landowners from clearing more than 35 percent to 50 percent of their land, depending on lot size.
Cover the children's ears folks, cause I'm about to pop!
The Seattle
"I feel very much like the rural part of the county has been disenfranchised over and over again," said Councilwoman Kathy Lambert, R-Woodinville.
But Democrats and environmentalists backed the measures, which passed a week after the Pierce County Council became the first in the state to adopt a tough clearing rule that requires rural residential landowners to keep 65 percent of their land in native vegetation.
Here, let me pull out the pertinent part of that for ya.

Democrats said urban residents have shouldered their share of the burden of growth management.
Of course Democrats say that! IT DOESN'T EFFECT URBAN RESIDENTS! It effects people who have bought and paid for acres upon acres of land, and now find themselves left with LESS THAN ONE-THIRD OF WHAT THEY PAID FOR!
Julia Patterson of SeaTac said city dwellers have accepted jails, airports, sex-offender housing, traffic and pollution, largely in order to prevent sprawling development across the countryside.
Bullshit, bullshit, BULLSHIT! They accept all that because they don't want to live in the country! Dow Constantine, the Seattle Democrat who chairs the growth-management committee and shaped much of the package, said it represents "a very good package of regulations that responds to our legal and our moral obligations."
But gee Chairman

Linky Love!
Cold Fury is on a roll, firing on all cylinders and bringing some good stuff up to the forefront. Mike also links to this post from Redstate.org, which exposes a series of Kerry's lies, and why they matter.
Read the whole damn thing. Kerry is lying through his teeth on a regular basis, day after day, and the Mainstream Media is letting him get away with it.
That's one question I have about this election, with all the polls showing an even split: How in the name of all that is holy is George W. Bush able to resist the massive and near-total all-out war the Mainstream Media is enacting against him? I don't think I've ever seen the media so abandon any pretense of objectivity in their attempts to attack the Conservative Right. From Dan "Memogate" Rather on down, the media in this country has become nothing more than a mouthpiece for the Democratic Party. Whores, sluts, gigilos and harlots, all wearing Kerry/Edwards buttons and speaking into DNC microphones while they give their opinions disguised as "news", bought and paid for with a bankrupt ideology. Never have so few abandoned so much for so little. When Bush wins, the tears from the mainstream media will be well worth it.
One last link: Mark Steyn.
All of the Left's proposals are simply re-hashed failures from the past. There's a reason people come to the USA for medical procedures, folks. Everything they're trying to push has been pushed before, both in this country and others. And they've failed. Their plans failed, their proposals failed, their entire ideology failed.
Let's make sure they fail again.
So what do we have, here? Three (or four, if you accept the secondhand reports of a UK-Kerry encounter) meetings of Security Council constituency personnel with Kerry. Four (including a mystery off-the-record nation) or five (including the United States) outright denials of any contact with Kerry. Those who say they did speak with Kerry demolish his tale of a single group sit-down -- which lie the Kerry campaign even now adheres to. Note two things, here:
First, Kerry's purported meeting with the entire Security Council managed to leave out a full third of the Council.
Second, go ahead and re-read the quoted lies above. Notice a surprise guest at the table in Kerry's imaginary international conference? Germans. Kerry is manufacturing a Security Council meeting involving nations that weren't on the Security Council in 2002.
This much is on the record.
Read the whole damn thing. Kerry is lying through his teeth on a regular basis, day after day, and the Mainstream Media is letting him get away with it.

Speaking of which, if there's four words I never want to hear again, it's "prescription drugs from Canada." I'm Canadian, so I know a thing or two about prescription drugs from Canada. Specifically speaking, I know they're American; the only thing Canadian about them is the label in French and English. How can politicians from both parties think that Americans can get cheaper drugs simply by outsourcing (as John Kerry would say) their distribution through a Canadian mailing address? U.S. pharmaceutical companies put up with Ottawa's price controls because it's a peripheral market. But, if you attempt to extend the price controls from the peripheral market of 30 million people to the primary market of 300 million people, all that's going to happen is that after approximately a week and a half there aren't going to be any drugs in Canada, cheap or otherwise -- just as the Clinton administration's intervention into the flu-shot market resulted in American companies getting out of the vaccine business entirely.
All of the Left's proposals are simply re-hashed failures from the past. There's a reason people come to the USA for medical procedures, folks. Everything they're trying to push has been pushed before, both in this country and others. And they've failed. Their plans failed, their proposals failed, their entire ideology failed.

The arrogant, stuck-up Left.
First it was The Fat Fuck From Flint, now it's Bill Maher.
Get that? Sham democracy. Because all that voting stuff really doesn't matter, right Bill? This is the face of the modern Left today, folks. Calling America a sham democracy because they didn't get their way. Shit flinging morons howling tantrums to other countries TV networks.
Ooooo, we're STUPID! Golly gee gosh, why is it that every whiny snot-nosed liberal who get's outvoted feels the need to go out of country and call America stupid? The arrogance of these pricks is almost overwhelming. "Oh, you don't agree with me, so you're STUPID!" Maher lost his show, so that must mean that people are STUPID! People don't agree with him so those people are STUPID! We were able to morph bin Laden into Hussein? How about the fact that we're smart enough to see that those two separate people posed two separate threats, Bill? I guess you're just TOO FUCKING STUPID to see that.
There we have it people, anyone who supports Bush must be stupid. People who see international terrorism as a threat is stupid. People who recognize that the threat of terrorism doesn't stem from just one man is stupid. All of this from a washed up TV host who goes into another country to bad mouth America.
Hey Bill.... keep your fucking ass in Canada, you sack of shit. We don't need any of your "smarts".
First of all I have to ask you something that everyone wants me to ask you which is what are the five things Canadians should know about the American election?
Maher: I don't know about five things but I think what Canadians should know about the American election is that you're lucky you don't live here. You don't have to participate in this sham democracy we have, you know? I mean I could tell you about, I could tell you five ways we don't really have a democracy in this country.
Get that? Sham democracy. Because all that voting stuff really doesn't matter, right Bill? This is the face of the modern Left today, folks. Calling America a sham democracy because they didn't get their way. Shit flinging morons howling tantrums to other countries TV networks.
More frightening than all of that?
Maher: Because you're being logical, dear. You're not thinking like an American. OK? Johnny Depp said this was a stupid country. And then he made me very mad and he took it back. Well, I say it. I don't take it back. It's stupid. Really stupid. It's about the marketing, don't you know? It's not about what's real. It's about what they market to people. I mean, they were able to morph bin Laden into Hussein. Do you think they can't give, make a little debt go away? That's something people don't even care about in the first place.
How about the fact that we're smart enough to see that those two separate people posed two separate threats, Bill? I guess you're just TOO FUCKING STUPID to see that.
Why then do people, the polls indicate that this fear is leading more and more people to vote for George Bush or say they're going to vote for George Bush? Why would George Bush be the person they thought they would be safer with?
Maher: I refer back to my answer to question two, stupid country. Stupid. Because he appears to be resolute. He appears to be strong. He clears brush and he looks like the Marlborough Man. If you see him in pictures, he stands… like he's about to draw a gun and he uses cowboy language, and he's from Texas. So to people who don't think it through very much, he looks like a guy who's standing up to the bad guys.
There we have it people, anyone who supports Bush must be stupid. People who see international terrorism as a threat is stupid. People who recognize that the threat of terrorism doesn't stem from just one man is stupid. All of this from a washed up TV host who goes into another country to bad mouth America.

The Wedding
OK, so this is the wedding post I told you I'd do. I figured I'd get it all out in one post so that I could let you read it all or not.
The wedding was held in Coeur d'Alene, ID. Some of my family is there, and that's where I graduated high school, so I consider that my home town. We had about 50 people show up; family, friends, you name it. My wonderful wife constructed her own wedding dress.
Here, let me say that again, for those of you who won't believe it. My wonderful wife constructed her own wedding dress, including at least forty hours spend sewing beads onto the entire thing BY HAND. She was fed up with the offerings in all the bridal shops and she decided that she could do a better job on her own. And you know what? She did. She looked magnificent. Radiant. Stunning. She was a fairy-tale bride walking down the aisle, and it was because she made her own frigging wedding dress.
Me, I learned how to tie a bowtie. And got my shirt dry-cleaned. Guys have it so much easier in the "get dressed for the wedding" department. Suit, shirt, tie, good shoes.
The ceremony took place in the church that I grew up in. The church was built in 1910, and if it was any larger it would be a cathedral. It has a one-of-a-kind Black pipe organ from 1924 located in the choir loft, and the music it produces rolls through the church like a wall of sound. The organist is a master, able to play anything. He also happens to be my old band director. Small world, eh?
The ceremony itself was short, sweet, and to the point. The reception was great, with more food than I could imagine, wine, dancing, and good company.
And the honeymoon... well, we just opened a map, found something that looked interesting, and drove there. Any town larger than 1000 people, we just kept driving past it. We found the best cafes, greatest views, and even better people. There's actually a few places I want to mention by name. I'll do that later.
The traveling itself was nothing short of breathtaking. The mountains were in their fall glory, carpeted in greens and golds. Every time we turned a corner, our jaws hit the dashboard. I don't think I can describe it all, and I know that the pictures I took can't even begin to come close. Idaho and Montana both left the wife and I stunned. In Idaho, you're IN the mountains, all the beauty is right in front of you. Once you cross into Montana, the mountains spread apart, leaving you breathless from the sheer enormity of it all. It was the difference of a Mozart piano solo vs. one of his orchesteral pieces. Both are beautiful, both are different from each other, and both leave you breathless. It was time well spent, to say the least. I had knots in my back that I didn't even know existed until they started to relax. And the people we met were the salt of the earth. Just flat out good people.
Needless to say, it was a sucess. And now, here's a few of the places that really knocked me out.
Red River Hot Springs, Elk City, Idaho: It's in the Bitterroot Mountains, quite a ways out. It took us all day to drive there, and it was worth every mile. The springs themselves don't have any real pools, so a small resort was built up around them. It's about as far away from civilization that you can go, while still being able to take a hot shower in the morning. But the only reason there's a hot shower is because they pipe the water in from the spring! They have a few nice rooms in the main building, and then several small cabins situated away from the pool. The water from the springs is piped down to one main pool, a hot tub, and can also be piped into several single tubs for those who would like a bit of privacy. The place is run on gas lights and a generator that powers up batteries. I was able to catch the last two Yankees-Redsox games while we stayed there. The prices are reasonable, and there are several campgrounds close to the springs for those who want a bit more wilderness and less expense. The wife and I stayed at a campground the first night, and then rented one of the cabins the second night. The second night, we were serenaded to sleep by the wolves howling on the mountains. The manager of the resort and her son are both pleasant, hard working people who are trying to repair years of neglect caused by the previous manager. She had two locals who came up on a regular basis to help her fix the place up, aided by coffee and copious amounts of food that she provided. The wife and I spent quite a bit of time just soaking in the hot tub, and just as much time chatting and drinking coffee with the people in the main building. One old goat cheerfully informed me that he used to be a contracter in Viet Nam, building foxholes for all the GI's. When I raised my eyebrows at him, his buddy (the town's Mr. Fixit from what I could tell) said "Yeah, foxholes, and he built 'em with a B-52 from way up high." Apparently, the guy flew bombers in Viet Nam. And built foxholes for GI's, hundreds at a time (wink wink). All in all, I'd could spend twice as much as I did and still call it a good deal, not only for use of the hot tub, pool, and location, but the good company that I found myself surrounded by. There's a sad note attached to the hot springs, but that's for a later post. Just know that I'll be back at that place whenever possible. It was the perfect start to the honeymoon.
The Wild Onion Cafe, Elk City, Idaho: Holy crap, the food. The cook back in that kitchen could embarass most of the restaurants in Seattle. I expected good food, but wow. Just wow. They had a better beer selection than most the restaurants in Seattle as well. Steak cooked just perfect, and I'm talking tender, melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Fried chicken hand battered and seasoned so damn well that I damn near ate the bones. Fried onions that should carry a "Warning: May Cause Uncontrollable Salivating and Addiction" lable, they were that damn good. Three kinds of hand-made-that-day soup that was so good you were licking the cups it came in. Service was out of this world. Total cost for two huge, perfectly cooked meals (including soup), a beer, and the wife's tea, before tip: $23.00 Needless to say, we left one hell of a tip.
The Homestead Drive-In Cafe, Whorley, Idaho: The very first restaurant we stopped at. Homemade soups, lick-the-spoon good. Fresh food, nothing fancy, but damned good all the same. Good service, my coffee cup never was empty. Total cost for two huge meals, plus coffee and tea, before tip: $14.00. Everything was so good that we handed the waitress a $20.00 and told her to keep the change.
Stevi (pronounced Steve-EYE) Cafe, Stevensville, Montana: The wife and I met with old friends who had moved to Stevensville, and we had breakfast Saturday morning at the Stevi Cafe. Oh, wow. They almost had to roll me out the door. Huge portions, all of it fresh cooked and homemade. Italian sausage, pancakes, country potatos, eggs, buscuits and gravy, enough food to fill a grizzly bear. All of it wonderful. And a waitress who was so busy that I never saw her standing still. Hell, half the time she was a blur. She apologised for her "late" service, even though she got to our table faster than the average waitress in the Puget Sound. When my coffee was empty I'd set it on the edge of the table, and it would be filled before I could blink. Total cost for three huge meals with coffee, plus enough left over to fill a take-home box, before tip: $22.00. Again, we left a big tip.
Those were the places that stood out on our trip. Sometimes, when you find things that good you just have to sing their praises. If you ever find yourself near any of those places, make a point to stop in and give it a try. You won't be dissapointed.
So... any questions? That should about cover the whole matrimony stuff. Oh, those of you in back decrying me as un-romantic for not publishing every sordid detail can just kiss off. It was MY wedding and honeymoon. If you want sordid details, have one yourself! Now then, back to your regular ragings.

Only one week left for an October surprise
Remember all of those conspiracy theories being floated by the Moonbat crowd about how Osama bin Laden was captured months ago, but George W. is secretly keeping it under wraps until October?
Well....
Only one more week to go...

Trust me. You'll want to get 10 over and over and over again :)
Here's a question
I read that Ann Coulter got pies thrown at her in Arizona. Well, that's one of milder forms of assault that the Left has been committing lately, so I figured she got off easy. But Mama Montezz has something more to say on the subject.
Imagine if TerAYzuh Kerry had pies thrown at her when she was speaking at some rally for her husband. What if Nancy "I've had so many facelifts my eyebrows are on the top of my head" Pelosi had a few Boston Creams tossed her way at a Democratic fundraiser? What if Maureen Dowd got a face full of whipping cream at a New York presentation? Just what do you think would happen?
You would have the media in full blow hysterics mode, screaming about "hate crimes" and "squashing of dissent", and "stifling of free speech", in the news, 24-7, all day every day, until after the election. But Ann Coulter gets a pie in the kisser, and.....
crickets chirping
Yeah, the "Party of Peace", once again proving that they're anything but peacefull. Hat tip to RNS.
Let me break my thoughts down on this. Two men assaulted a woman. They assaulted a tiny woman on stage during a presentation of her political beliefs. The woman was assaulted because she holds political beliefs contrary to theirs. They hate her political beliefs and acted out that hatred by assaulting her.
If they had been some Aryan Nation types throwing things at a hippy-chick, it would have been a hate crime. So where is this different?
Is it different because her cause is the unpopular one? Is it because it's acceptable to hate conservatives and their politics? If people are going to demand that hate crime be prosecuted as such, then don't they have to include acts like this as hate crimes?
When is hate not reallly hate? I really don't have to ask, because deep down, I already know the answer.
Imagine if TerAYzuh Kerry had pies thrown at her when she was speaking at some rally for her husband. I'm back!
And hoo-boy, do I have some catching up to do. Couple of thoughts right off hand, however:
If Boston wins the World Series, there need to be streets named after David Ortiz and Jonny Damon, plus an orthopedic wing of a hospital named after Curt Schilling. Hell, the Boston bullpen needs to have some part of town named after them. After giving the New York Dollar Signs a much needed pimp slapping in the ALCS, anything is possible. But the effort by that one team was inspiring to watch.
The Democrats are reminding me more and more of a conglomeration of the Nazi Party from pre-WWII Germany, and the Bolsheviks during the Russian revolution. Opposition offices burglerized, vandalized and looted? People being assaulted? I never would have thought to see that in America. And yet it's happening all over the country. This isn't an isolated incident, these are multiple acts of violence perpetrated by the Left in an attempt to intimidate Republican voters. When is Kristalnacht going to happen? I don't know, but I can guarantee that it will be the Democrats breaking windows and killing people, not Republicans. Given all the violence already committed, I wouldn't be surprised at very much on November 3rd. Riots, muggings, beatings, murder, the Left has sunk so low that anything is possible. Keep your powder dry, folks. Maybe invest in a shotgun if you live in an urban area. The Left has already given us a clue at what they'll do when they only think they're behind, imagine what will happen when they actually lose!
The wedding was awsome. Flat out awsome. Great people, good company, a beautiful church, and more good food than you could shake a stick at. Both my family and my wife's worked their butts off to make sure that everything went off without a hitch. Besides a few minor glitches, there were no hassles. And the minor things could be shrugged off as the inconsequential annoyances that they were. The Raging Wife and I tried to thank as many people as we could for all their help, but I'm sure we missed a few folks. Dad's eyes lit up when he got that 30-30, though. I'll do a big post on the whole matrimony thing later.
So..... on to catching up, less than two weeks until the election, and I'm refreshed and ready for battle.
Once more, into the breech my friends!
