Hey, got any Hockey going on?

NFL ratings and numbers are.....  not good for them.

One big surprise, however, is the NFL. It ranks as the sixth most divisive brand, with a +39 approval rating from Democrats, but a -11 among Republicans.
This is particularly noteworthy, given that no other major sport has a negative rating (even NASCAR scores a +18 among Democrats), and the fact that the NFL's fan base tends to skew Republican. One survey found that registered Republicans were 21% more likely to be pro football fans than Democrats.

Fuck the fucking fuckers, and I hope their ratings, and the ad revenue that comes with them, continue to decline.  They got woke.  Now they can go broke.

Tossin' shit

So at work we have a storage area called a "cage".  Because it's a cage, complete with chain-link fencing, but it's simple and it works.  Got told today that I had to "clean up" the cage.  M'kay, I haven't been here very long at all, and I have no idea what's in the cage, seeing as how I was engaged in, oh, LEARNING MY JOB since there wasn't fuck-all left behind for me to use.

That's a rant for another day.

And I haven't signed for anything in the cage, meaning that there's not a damn thing in there that I'm financially responsible for.  Go down to the cage, which I share with another section.  They portion off their stuff, so that I know it's their stuff and I don't have to deal with it.  Cool.  Dig through the half-inch of dust on MY stuff, which tells me that the people before me didn't do a damn thing down here, and see what I have.

And it's....  ancient.  Out of date.  Pile upon pile of useless paperwork and bullshit, none of which has any value or relevance to my current position.

Borrowed a dolly from supply.  Loaded that bad boy up a couple of times, took all the crap out to the dumpster, and tossed that shit.

Cleaned up what was left (items that actually DO have relevance to my current position), locked the cage, and went on my merry way.  Found a guitar.  It had been sitting there for so long that the strings were completely slack.  So I tuned it up, and it seems to be a good instrument.  Maybe I'll learn how to play the guitar next.

Also known as "Business as usual" for the Democrats

Yep.

An elderly couple wanted to vote for the Republican in a 2017 special election in North Philadelphia.
First they were told they had to go “get a stamp” outside the polling place — where Democrats handed out stamps for write-in candidates. Then, when an Election Board worker heard they wanted to vote Republican, a witness heard him bellow: “Not on my machine!” And though they both said they eventually cast ballots, in the end only one GOP vote was recorded at the polling place.

Democrats only win the elections they can steal.

Yep

So apparently this particular meme got the fucking Facebook Fascists to put a guy's account on hold.  Go figure.  I say we spread it far and wide.

The Clinton-Lynch meeting was the end, not the beginning

Loretta Lynch knew months in advance that Corrupt Hillary Clinton wasn't going to be charged.  The meeting on the tarmac in Phoenix was Lynch delivering the results of the Obama corruption to Clinton.

A government of corrupt, power-hungry, greedy statist thugs.  That's what we're dealing with.  And we're still dealing with it, thanks to the rot in the leadership of the FBI.

Shutdown kicked down the road

The Democrats must have looked at their polling numbers and shat their Depends.  This is the first time in my life I can remember the GOP winning a shut-down battle.

Yes, I think TCH has medical uses

Ol' Rodger gives a summation of a creme that he used on his knees.

Two weeks ago I was in for my scheduled silicone injection and showed my knee guy the little jar.  Oh, did you notice the THC ingredient label?  THC is the chemical in pot that delivers the feel goods, as I understand it.  Doctor X noticed it immediately, and was intrigued.  While he'd never heard of this particular application, he said that the governing body of his medical discipline had been studying the THC thing, but had made no recommendation.  But, he implied that I should continue the experiment  and keep him informed.

I have no doubt that THC can have medical benefits.  Let me just lay that out there right now.  If you are using TCH for medical purposes, I think you should be able to do so.

I know, for such a guy who's anti-drug, what the hell, right?

If people can gain some benefit from the medical use of marijuana, I have no problem with that.  It's the people who get stoned all day every day that I object to.  Red wine can benefit cardiovascular health.  That doesn't mean I think it's OK to drink four bottles a night.  People who use THC for medical purposes should be able to do so.  The question then becomes how can we allow people to use THC for medical purposes without enabling those who just want to get intoxicated all day?  I worked with a gent who had glaucoma.  He used THC drops in his eyes to preserve his eyesight.  But, and this is the key, he was not getting stoned off of his medicine.  He was using it for a completely medical purpose.

Just like a lot of the painkillers out there, if you abuse them, then you're an addict with an issue.  Ands I think that the vast majority of people arguing for "medical" marijuana only want it to get high.  I would never suggest that someone guzzle four or five bottles of red wine a day for "heart health".  Neither would I suggest that someone just get high for "medical reasons".  Having a drink at the end of the day helps me relax.  But if I drink the whole bottle, that's certainly not helpful or relaxing.

Your thoughts in the comments.

A government of thugs, for thugs

The FBI somehow "lost" five months of text messages between Peter Strzok and his mistress, sent on an FBI device, in violation of their own SOP.  The dates of missing messages just so happen to coincide with the whole Russian Collusion bullshit that Strzok was kicking up with his mistress and various other high-level members of the FBI.

As Glenn Reynolds puts it:  "There have been so many episodes like this where crucial evidence is “lost” that I don’t believe any of it anymore."

It's thugs protecting thugs, all on our dime.  I don't believe those messages are "lost" anymore than Glenn does.  They are either stored away and the FBI is refusing to hand them over, or they're deleted.  If they're as damaging to the Democrats as I think they could be, then they're gone.  Wiped just as clean as Hillary Clinton's server.

Quite frankly there's nobody at the top of the FBI that I trust right now, and I would bet that the rot and corruption go quite a bit down from there.

Here's one question:  Given that the text messages we do have show that EVERYBODY KNEW Clinton wasn't going to face charges, just how bad are the ones that they deliberately deleted?

One exchange between Strzok and Page, dated July 1, 2016, referenced then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch's decision to accept the FBI's conclusion in the Clinton investigation. Lynch's announcement came days after it was revealed that the attorney general and former President Bill Clinton had an impromptu meeting aboard her plane in Phoenix.
"Timing looks like hell," Strzok texted Page.
"Yeah, that is awful timing," Page agreed. In a later message, she added: "It's a real profile in couragw [sic], since she knows no charges will be brought."
Four days later, then-FBI Director James Comey announced that no charges would be brought against Clinton, even though -- as he put it -- her actions in regard to the private server were "extremely careless."

We knew the Obama administration was corrupt.  Elect a third-world, anti-American president, get a third-world, anti-constitutional government.  Actually having proof of it before the election, i.e. Lynch meeting with Clinton on their private plane, was a blessing from heaven, because it allowed the public to see what the Obama junta didn't want them to see.
