He actually said that he regrets picking Sarah Palin to be his running mate.
Johnny Boy, she's the only reason you won any states at all. If it weren't for Sarah Palin, Obama would have won all 57 states and then some. It wasn't until Palin came on stage that the entire McCain campaign had any hope at all.
And I think that's what really rankles that asshole. Without Palin, he'd be even more of a laughingstock than he was at that point.
Anywho, now he says he should have picked Joe Lieberman. You know, THE DEMOCRAT. Yeah. That says all you need to know about John Fucking McCain.

He pulled a pre-empt on DJT by saying he wasn't invited to his funeral. He knew all along that Trump wouldn't come.
Most people forget that McCain almost switched to the Democrat party in 2001. There was a brief period where the Senate was a 50/50 split, and the GOP (rather than simply force a 50+the VP vote on all committee/chair positions under Gore from the 3rd until the 20th, then reverse everything after Cheney was sworn in) offered a Co-Chair and equal representation to the Democrats as a means of trying to mend fences after the Bush/Gore election hassle.
But the Democrats were quietly trying to bribe the squishier of the GOP, including plum assignments and seniority bumps, for switching, and McCain was open about his desire to switch, but Jeffords (Vermont) beat him to the punch, switching to an "independent" party caucusing with the Dems in June, just a few weeks before the 9/11 attacks. But McCain did his damnedest to screw over Bush after Bush beat him in the SC primaries.
Jeffords decided that he wouldn't run for reelection in '05, being replaced by Bernie Sanders. But McCain has been screwing over the GOP, being a "Maverick" ever since.
The guy never did what was needed to beat obama as his goal was the publicity and to be liked. The best way to liked in government is to go after the good guys and bow to the bad guys.
I believe when we leave this life there is another place where questions are asked and answered. That ego thing will always come up.
Drum - John McCain has always been the first GOP guy to stab Republican voters in the back. He doesn't have any actual principles other than whatever gets him the most attention. How many decades of absolute backstabbing fuckwittery does being a war hero get you?

the guy got his ass waxed, managed to jump outta his jet, got captured & did a goodly length of time in hanoi. so did a bunch of others who were smart enuff not to go into politics. cant fault him for his service record... he did what you & i swore to do...he just got unlucky & got splashed. his political record on the other hand should have gotten him unelected after the first go round..... yutz.
