OK, I'm ready for winter

Heat index today was 114.  Considering the Mrs. and I were out with friends trying to enjoy an outdoor activity, that sucked.  We had to call it a day early, because after about five hours we just couldn't do any more.  We were drained.

I remember this humidity.  It's why I've never chosen to live on the East Coast.

Brain Dead

There comes a point where I think I just lose any interest in typing anything out.  And that normally comes after I've been typing all day at work.

In other words, I got nothing.

Back to work today

And apparently I look like hell enough that the guy in charge of making sure I'm at work looked at me and asked "Just why the fuck are you here?"

Blarg.

Not really watching the Olympics

First up, NBC can eat a bag of dicks.  If there's anything that makes me NOT want to watch a sporting event, it's the never-ending parade of sob-story BS that they inject into EACH and EVERY SINGLE EVENT.  "Little Katie was born without labia, but still managed to work her way into the Olympics!  Yay Katie!"  45 minutes of faux-emotional crap followed by 15 minutes of highlights, followed by more crap.

Back in '92, my parents took me on vacation during the summer.  We went up to Vancouver and Victoria, B.C.  So to watch the Olympics, we watched Canadian TV.  The difference in how they presented the games was stunning.  Even decades ago the US was all about trying to tug on heartstrings and little Katie's missing labia, and less about sports.  The Canucks were "Here's the crewing event.  And here's the medal round of the crewing event.  Here's the medal ceremony.  And now here's the men's 100m event.  Here's the medal round of the 100m event."  So on and so forth.  In terms of showing you the events, the Canadian broadcast was far superior to what the US was putting out.

Second reason I really don't give a crap about the Olympics much anymore is the fact that there are pro athletes playing in what is supposed to be an amateur event.  NBA stars on basketball?  Sure, sure, the damn Europeans started that years ago.  The solution was to ban their pro stars, not allow our pro stars to jump in.  If I actually wanted to watch basketball (which I don't) I would tune in to the NBA, not the USA versus some country that might have one star on the national stage.  "Oh, look the USA just crushed Micronesia 149-12!  Go SPORTS!"  Nah.  Nope.  I have better things to do than give a shit about that.

Yes, there are plenty of sports without pro athletes.  Bully for them.  I don't get to watch them without a 45 minute sob story about Katie's missing labia and how she had to persevere.  Oh, and then just because the SJW mob can't leave anything alone, we have this crap right here.

An American Muslim fencer, who is the country’s first Olympian to wear a hijab, says she does not feel safe in the US due to the country’s increased anti-Muslim rhetoric.
Ibtihaj Muhammad, 30, is currently in Rio de Janeiro preparing to represent the US in sabre fencing. She is ranked eighth in the world and is gearing up for her first Olympics after missing the 2012 London games because of a hand injury.

Aw, da po' widdle muslim doesn't feel safe in America?  Gosh, why doesn't she try living in a muslim country like Afghanistan or Iran or Pakistan or Saudi Arabia or Yemen, where she's considered little more than property on a daily basis?  "Anti-muslim rhetoric"?  Yes, that's typically what happens after muslims shoot up a club while screaming "Allahu Ackbar" and pledging their lives to ISIS.  It's a survival trait that muslims like this dipshit want us to overcome - when someone whips out a weapon and starts mass-murdering people, chances are they have "Muhammad" as part of their name somewhere.  If Lutherans named "Sven" start killing people in the name of their religion, then you'll see some anti-Lutheran backlash going on.  But oddly enough, there's only one religion out there that calls for it's adherents to murder everyone else in the name of their god.  And that religion is Islam.  So until Islam fixes that little problem, then yes, you're going to have a hard time getting accepted.  Deal with it.

But no, guess who NBC loves?  Guess who NBC said should carry the flag instead of Michael Phelps?  Yep, the po' widdle muslim dipshit.

Gah.  Fuck that noise, I ain't watching it.  I don't need any more progressive propaganda shoved down my throat.

UPDATE:  In in news that will shock no one, the muslim everyone is trying to portray as the most wonderful person in the world has shown herself to be....  just like most other muslims.  That is to say, anti-semitic.  Because really, you can't be a true muslim unless you blame the JOOOOOOOOS for all the evil in the world.

167 Interior Designers work for the VA

Yes, really.

At $100,000 in combined salaries and benefits — many actually make more — the cost of employing those 167 designers would add up to $17 million a year, or $136 million during the eight years of the Obama administration, making the salaries of the people in charge of picking out art dwarf even those art costs.

Wouldn't it be nice if that money were to go to...  oh, I don't know....  MEDICAL STAFF?  That might possibly TREAT VETERANS BEFORE THEY DIE WHILE WAITING FOR CARE?

Welcome to Government-Run Health Care, folks.  Expect more of the same.

Oh, and here's your un-PC comment of the day:  It should not be a shock that the administration who cares more about gays and trannies than military readiness also cares more about interior design than treating military veterans.

Let's see how many people THAT pisses off.

This is what they do in their countries

And this is what they will do in ours.  The rape of women and girls is still on-going in Rotherham.

Another girl, going under the pseudonym Lizzie, said: "I know a few girls who have come forward recently and been told they are being racist and I know a lot that won't come forward and to be fair I can't blame them.
“Nothing has changed, not in the slightest. It's still the same scale as before."

This, ladies and gentlemen, is why the 2nd Amendment exists in this country.

Sick again

I got healthy just in time for the Mrs. to catch whatever damned virus is running around, and she passed that on to me.  I started feeling it yesterday, and today I'm in full blown virus factory mode.

Just....  crap.
