I'm about to go throw Army lead downrange

Sad part is, it'll be the first time I've gotten range time in since I moved to VA.  So I'm going to make sure I get my money's worth.  Spoke with the OIC to make sure I can qualify on every weapon this unit has.

Which is two - M4 and M9.  But still.  SHOOT ALL THE THINGS!

Yeah, but we knew this

Study showing Conservatives to be more "psychotic" turns out to be bunk.

Any rational person who had observed the two political sides for the past 100 years knew that the study was bullshit.  Conservatives are the people who put on their big-boy pants and get things done while Leftists are the hysterical shrieking cry-bullies who need safe spaces to avoid even hearing a dissenting opinion.

Just remember SJW Rule #3:  SJWs always PROJECT.

BernieBros going after liberal reporters

Boo-freakin'-hoo.

It seems not everyone is thrilled with Hillary Clinton’s historic win of the Democratic nomination. Reporters have been feeling the Bern from angry Sanders supporters who are lashing out online and on the phone. The Associated Press sent an internal memo to its reporters warning them to “practice situation awareness” after receiving “angry communications” from people upset about the AP calling the race for Clinton Monday.

Having the Left eat its own propaganda organ makes me smile.  More please!

Three batches bubbling

Started a batch of mead a few weeks ago - cherry melomel with fresh cherries.  Yesterday I started a batch of mead with the very last of the cranberry bog honey from Wisconsin, and a batch of hard cider with Honeycrisp apple cider.  All three are bubbling away happily.

Given that half of what I made in California turned into absolute crap, I'm interested to see what my brews do here in VA.  At the very least, we don't have the wild temperature swings that we did in SoCal.  Plus, we have a basement here that will allow me to keep things cool (or cool-ish) and dark.  Just about every thing we made in Wisconsin came out a winner.  I'd like to get back up to that level again.

The proper response is "No".

The situation is that a group in Italy is asking a parish to "pray silently" to avoid upsetting African "migrants".

And that is flat out wrong.

These parishioners need to pray the rosary out loud, with the certainty that God does not want his flock to be silent in HIS OWN HOUSE.

And I would say to this supposed Catholic charity, who apparently are ashamed of their own faith and wish to see it silenced, that if the Middle East were a Catholic region, instead of a miserable festering shithole of Islam, which is nothing more than a cult started by a pedophile moon-god worshipper, then they wouldn't HAVE the migrant problem that they're currently facing.  Maybe THAT is what needs to be clearly stated.

Catholicism and praying the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary is not the problem here.  And those "migrants", those people begging for succor and running away from their Islamic societies, need to be reminded of that.

Here's the advice that all high skrewl and university kids need to hear.

From Mike Rowe.

Granted, were I to give advice to the high skrewl kids, it would be this:  If your chosen study field ends in "studies" or "arts", don't even bother going to college.  Get a real skill, and study those other things in your free time while you're making money.  Don't saddle yourself with a six-figure piece of fancy parchment that you can hang on your wall but means absolutely nothing outside of the university grounds.

I can't throw things away twice

Otherwise, I'd be hurling my old Dixie Chicks CDs into the trash again.  Or using them for target practice.

What is it about artists that make them such unbelievable fuckwits?

Muhammad Ali is dead

Or, as I like to call him, "Cassius Clay".

There's a lot of great things about his life.  And there's a lot of not great things.  The Nation of Islam was a racist, hate-filled organization from it's inception, and Ali almost went broke supporting it.  So in a way, we can thank Ali for Luis Farrakhan.  Yeah.  Think about that.

On the other hand, he endorsed Reagan, so you gotta wonder what was going through his head as the NoI sucked away his millions.
