Listening to talk radio on the road

And Trump is staying away from the Fox News debate.

Good.  Honestly.  I don't know if it'll help him or hurt him.  But I won't have to listen to vague statements like "I know good people, let me tell you, and my guys are gonna be the best, they're gonna be wonderful...."

I'm happy Trump is running.  He's moved entire discussions to the right, away from what the Democrats wanted to talk about.  But I don't know if I could stand to listen to him on the news for four years.

One may not wish to endure 4 years of Trump's rambling but I think the better question is what is the alternative?

Yes, let's consider that. We may start with what do we have now? The game stats and the weather, interspersed in soul killing verbal broadsides for or agin the cause de jour. Notably is the dearth of truth, the disconnect from accuracy in reporting such that one wonders if truth is a disease to be avoided at all costs.

The distrust among the audience is understandable because it has been bred by inaccuracy. That coupled with the woefully short attention span gives rise to no real need for truth in reporting. Conversely, the supposed reporters of news have incentive to misstate and ignore fact by means of corp sponsors and liberal bias.

At least Trump is not beolden therefore may be better suited to speak the truth notwithstanding his peculiar speaking style. At least so far he has firmly directed the national debate and discussion in a direction more to the liking of the people.

I don't like loudmouths and I detest arrogance. But I so highly prize truth and accuracy that if the former is necessary to gain the truth then I willfully endure them albeit warily.

Concerning Trump: If you haven't yet read this piece of comic genius, treat yourself at once!

What's the alternative? Cruz. Cruz is the GOP's only hope for survival. Trump is the GOP's destructor, even if they don't grasp that concept yet.

Here's the thing - I'm OK with either option. Survive with Cruz, get destroyed with Trump, I can handle either path. But I would prefer Cruz, and yanking the country back from the brink. But if Trump wants to end the whole charade and hasten the coming war, so be it. Let this fight come while I am young enough to fight it, and not pass that responsibility on to my kids.
