On that whole "Ashley Madison" hack

Ummmm...  first up, you shouldn't be cheating on your spouse.

Second of all, you shouldn't be entering your CREDIT CARD INFO into a WEBSITE so that you can cheat on your spouse.

That some folks did both, and now are getting caught up in the hack of that website, well....  Karma's a bitch, ain't it?

Daddy's got a new pair of shoes

Well, erm...  yep, I do.  I've been running in minimalist shoes for a while now, so I finally tried out a pair of Vibram Five-Finger shoes.

They're.....  interesting.  I have to work to get my toes into their respective areas, but once they're on they stay on.  I did my hill running today, and other than having fabric between my toes they felt pretty darn good.

I don't know if I'd spend the $100+ for these shoes all the time.  I got my pair for $50 off of Woot, so I didn't pay full price.  We'll see if I end up liking them more than my regular running shoes.

If nothing else, I think they'll make awesome hiking shoes.

Another Illegal Alien

Killing the Americans that Americans don't want to kill.

Hyde was in the country illegally from Belize in Central America and awaiting a court hearing as an illegal immigrant, having crossed the Texas border earlier this year, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said.

Don't worry, Jeb Bush says it's an act of love, or something.

One of the nice things

About the Taurus Millennium is that it throws the brass pretty much in the same place every time.  Picking up brass was easy, because it was all in the same spot.  Didn't travel too far.

My .45 will throw brass in just about a 180 degree arc to the right.  Don't know why.

Riddle me this

How can a government force a dairy to label it's milk as "imitation" because it has not added anything to it?

Today’s comes to us from Florida, where the Ocheesee Creamery is being forced to dump gallons upon gallons of good, natural skim milk because the state is requiring the business to label its good, natural skim milk “imitation” because they haven’t added anything to it.

The people responsible for this travesty need to be tarred, feathered, and hung from the nearest lamp-post.  It really is that simple.

Five Truths

about Illegal Aliens that the GOP must accept.

Or die.  Either ways good for me.

There’s a yuuuuuuuuge upside for the first sane GOP candidate who becomes known for taking a line on illegal aliens that is tough but fair – with the fairness being to the American citizens who have been stuck paying the price in money and blood during decades of elite apathy.

There is no reason for any GOP candidate to suck up to people who's first act in this country was to break the law that the rest of us have to follow.  None.  Period.

Done driving

We put a little extra road time in today, because quite honestly the KOA we had our reservations at was approximately 2.1 km away from the surface of the sun.

At least, that's what it felt like when we pulled in.  That was our fault.  We should have known better. The only people hooked up at that place were folks with RVs that had A/C units.  Had we arrived half an hour earlier we would have upgraded to a cabin with A/C, but it didn't happen.  So we cooked dinner, ate, and ran.  That's more driving than I wanted to do, but at least I'm at home with a cigar and a glass of bourbon.

Listened to lots of news on the radio.  Will give thoughts once I have them collected.

While Traveling

The wife and I are trying to keep our budget from blowing out due to the cost of staying in hotels at night.  So we're camping every night.  I hadn't even thought of KOA, but damned if they don't do the trick.  And it's typically about a quarter of the cost of a hotel.

Yeah, you have to set up a tent.  Deal with it.  One-fourth the cost.  And I'm on a budget.  I'm happy.

The Northwest is burning

Idaho is covered in smoke from the top to the bottom of the state.  It's unreal.

Many of these fires were started by lightning strikes in hard-to-reach areas.  But many of them continue because the forests they are burning have been so mismanaged under by FedGov and the eco-freaks who control it.  I've gone into the damage that the eco-freaks agenda does to the national forests; you can search for all the different posts if you want.  But we're seeing the evidence and damage in real time right now.

They paved over the fields

Over a decade ago I wrote a little post about a woman named Patti Gora, who was leading lawsuits to stop the grass seed farmers from burning their fields after harvest.  Burning the fields was the only real way to clear out any weeds and prevent their harvest from becoming contaminated.  Eliminate burning, and you eliminate the farmers.

Jacklin Seed shut down their facility a while ago.  The building is for sale.  The eco-freaks won, and the farmers lost.  So what happened?

The farmers sold their fields to the folks who would buy them.  And those folks were the property developers from California and New York who were using the eco-freaks to do their dirty work.  And they build houses upon the miles and miles of prairie, and all that open land was paved over.

Because, you see, the eco-freaks who claimed to love Gaia and hate the pollution of field burning didn't actually give a shit about the environment.  They were bought and paid for shills of the people who wanted that farmland to build houses on.  They have ALWAYS been bought and paid for shills of someone else.

Tell me, if you actually gave a damn about the environment, what would you prefer to have - miles upon miles of prairie and grassland that was burned once a year?  Or miles and miles of paved roads and cars and houses, with fertilizer and petroleum products and other pollutants?

Let this be an abject lesson for anyone who's on the fence, or for anyone who's under attack from the emotion-driven arguments of the eco-freaks.  The people of the eco-freak movement don't know a damn thing about the real environment.  They don't know a damn thing about what's best for the environment.  They are tools, being used by people much smarter then them, to accomplish what those smart people want.

The Rathdrum Prairie is disappearing.  It's being paved over, and that happened because the eco-freaks put the farmers out of business.  This may not have been what the eco-freaks wanted, but it's what their masters wanted, and the masters got what they wanted because the eco-freaks are brainless, weak-minded, spineless simpering maggots.

Patti Gora is still calling herself a "clean air ambassador".  Her unhinged accusations against the grass seed farmers continue to this day.  And she's just as big a tool of her masters now as she was then.  Remember that when someone claims that they just "want the president and Congress to know that the protection of human health is critical to strong communities"

They're full of shit.  They're tools, being used by someone else.
