Rule of Law vs Rule of Man

When the Rule of Man supplants the Rule of Law, well....  what reason do men have to follow the Rule of another Man?

The Helmetta police officer replied, “Obama just decimated the freakin’ Constitution, so I don’t give a damn. If he doesn’t follow the Constitution, we don’t have to.”

And here is the downward spiral - when following the Law only gets you punished, and people who refuse to follow the law get away scott free, then it is in your self-interest to not follow the law.

Get ready for more of this.

I left this comment on the original site, but I expect it to be deleted:

"I'm guessing the whiner hasn't read either the First or Fourth Amendment, since unless the animal shelter is actually a covert substation of the police, and has raided his home and seized persons or things without a warrant, the Fourth is irrelevant, and the applicability of the First Amendment is also utterly questionable.

Is it based on his exercise of free religion? No, since complaining about the care of animals is not a major part of any known religion, especially when the animals are not even his. Is this based on his exercise of free speech or press? No. He isn't being thrown in jail for voicing an opinion, even online. Freedom to peaceably assemble? No. Freedom to petition the government for redress of grievances? Absolutely not, since he is doing that very thing, but the freedom to petition the government does NOT guarantee that the government must actually do what they are being petitioned to do, merely that the petitioners cannot be punished for asking.

However, making a false police report IS a felony in most jurisdictions, so he is lucky to not be arrested. But by all means, let's pretend that it's HIS civil rights that are under attack.

Do your homework next time, but in the meantime? Go get me a juice box, kid."

B-b-b-b-b-but Drumwaster..... think of the PUPPIES!

Free speech doesn't mean that you can force someone to print your essay, it only means that you can say what you want. I can still remember when the trolls would whine and snivel after you banned their butts: "So much for free speech!"
