VEGAS, baby! VEGAS!

Except I don't gamble at casinos, and I don't do titty bars.  So what else is there to do in the evenings while I'm at a training event all week?

there are also a few good indoor go-cart tracks (and an EXCELLENT one outside, but on the north side of town), the pinball hall of fame, some great shows (I could recommend The Beatles 'Love' by Cirque d' Soliel or Blue Man Group, or even Penn & Teller if you're REALLY lucky), trips to Hoover Dam, indoor sky-diving (google it), the speed track, etc.

There is lots to do for those of us who neither drink nor gamble.

(PS: I still owe you that adult beverage, yanno. Molon Labe.) ;)

I don't gamble, but on my two trips to Vegas in the Seventies I was fascinated by the Baccarat table and players. The guy in a grungy swaeter who stayed at the table for at least three 24-hour days and caused a bit of a scene when he insisted on being paid 30G in cash (necessary at Baccarat, no chips) instead of a check on the second day, the high-roller playing $100,000 per hand...

Eat! Hofbrauhaus is amazing. Great places for steaks/sushi all over.

There are several great off-strip venues for music - Capazzoli's, on Flamingo and Paradise, springs to mind. Also, the Kinda Dixie Jazz Band is probably still playing afternoons at the Gold Coast. But I haven't been there for a few years and things may have changed. You could check with some of the locals to find out where the good places are.

The pinball museum! Tons of working well preserved pinball machines.
