Clean-up on 6!

Thunderstorm blew threw last night, heavy emphasis on "blew".  Gotta go help a friend clean up their back yard.  Fences down.  Power out in a few areas.

Ah, life in the Midwest!

I've got to link to this

Because I'm probably going to have to use it at some point to beat off a rabid leftist:  Gov. Walker's collective bargaining curtailment works.  The school district went from $400,000 in the red to a $1.5 million surplus.

One.  Point.  Five.  Million.  Dollars.  That's a lot of clams.  And it would have never happened if the greedy Leftists who protested in Madison had their way.

As I survey my kitchen

And the wreckage of an impromptu party that happened last night, the only thought in my head was  that a lot of people drank way too much beer at my house.

I think my recycling bin is full, and it was emptied yesterday morning.

Obama not worried about murdered Americans

only about Arabs at risk

Ed Morrissey notes:
...let’s take a look at Obama’s dodge on Libya. He came out swinging on the suggestion that the Libya mission was unconstitutional and poorly handled, saying:
Moammar Gaddafi, who prior to Osama bin Laden was responsible for more American deaths than just about anybody on the planet, was threatening to massacre his people. . . . As a consequence, a guy who was a state sponsor of terrorist operations against the United States of America is pinned down, and the noose is tightening around him.
Kessler points out that Obama himself didn’t seem to think this was a problem before March:
Yes, Gaddafi is a bad guy, but Obama conveniently ignores the fact that until the uprising, the administration was rushing to do business with him. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton met with one of Gadhafi’s sons, Mutassim Gadhafi, in 2009, declaring, “I’m very much looking forward to building on this relationship.”
So in 2009, even though "Moammar Gaddafi, who prior to Osama bin Laden was responsible for more American deaths than just about anybody on the planet" Obama's Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton met with one of Gadhafi’s sons, Mutassim Gadhafi, in 2009, declaring,
“I’m very much looking forward to building on this relationship.”
But in 2011 when Gaddafi was "threatening to massacre his people" suddenly a war without Congressional approval was the only course of action and if you dare question that:
“Whose side are you on?” -- Obama's Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton
Clearly… Obama is not worried about dead Americans, but rather only about Arabs at risk.

Arleen Ocasio(D) censors religion at VA Cemetary

Arleen Ocasio(D) censors religion at VA Cemetary in Houston Texas
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
The fragment
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;
...clearly is intended to protect religious liberty both by virtue of preventing law that would "prohibiting the free exercise" as well as preventing the Government from establishing a preferred religion.

So it is pretty difficult to post this without collapsing into a stream of 4 letter expletives directed at this sick sack of dog shi'ite from Chicago, who works for the government, and has decided to ban religion at a VA cemetary.
1) Director Ocasio and other Cemetery Officials instructed Veterans of Foreign Wars District 4 to remove prayers from its burial rituals and to no longer utter remarks when handling the discharged shell cases from the rifle salute to the family of deceased veterans.

2) Cemetery Officials instructed American Legion Post 586 to remove prayers from its burial rituals.

3) Director Ocasio told the National Memorial Ladies that it could no longer include “God Bless” in its condolence cards or speak a religious message to veterans’ families.

4) Director Ocascio shut down the Cemetery chapel; it is now a “meeting facility.”
Congressman Ted Poe (TX-02) on Wednesday, June 29, sent a letter to the Department of Veterans Affairs
“I am deeply troubled by the allegations that were brought to my attention when I met with members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) in Houston,” said Poe. The director of the Houston National Cemetery, Arleen Ocasio, allegedly has engaged in aggressive hostile censorship of religion at the second largest cemetery for veterans in the United States.

“The First Amendment is a sacred right of all Americans, especially those who have honorably served — and given their lives — in the name of protecting the United States. Denying their families their constitutional right to the free exercise of religious freedom is disgraceful and shows blatant disrespect for America’s veterans. If these allegations are true, I formally call for the termination of Arleen Ocasio as the director the Houston National Cemetery. This display of authoritarian behavior and religious discrimination should not be tolerated.”
Our servicemen and women risk their lives, often sacrifice their lives, to protect a country that has to indulge scumbuckets like Arleen Ocasio(D). It only makes their sacrifice all the more profound and the burden upon us all to respect them all the more important.

Obama Lies About Afghanistan Plan

But you knew that already didn't you?  To wit - when Obama claims that his plan to withdraw from Afghanistan is one that was presented to him by his military leadership, HE IS LYING.

That gutless fucking bitch.  He'll lose the entire Afghanistan campaign just to get re-elected.

A little peace

So, for the past year, I've been involved in a community of artists who opened up a store.  I won't go into more details, only that when I first got involved the group all appeared to want to pull in the same direction, and had like-minded goals.  No politics were involved.

What I didn't know when I got involved was that one of the people was a drunk who was drinking himself into senility (or he may have Alzheimer's, but the constant state of inebriation made it hard to tell) and another person was one of the most manipulative, malicious people I have ever met.

So for months on end, I dreaded going to these meetings, because I knew I was going to be verbally attacked, or I would have to deal with the nasty person's manipulations, and it got to be a hassle.  But we have finally gotten rid of the problem children, and last night we had our first meeting without them.  It was peaceful.  It was productive.  It took less time than any other meeting did, and we got more done.  It proved to me once again that one or two bad apples can completely tear apart a group, and that in order to have an effective working team you MUST remove the problem people.  Pretending otherwise only causes you grief and stress.

Stop allowing the bad apples in your life.  Get rid of them.  You'll be much happier.

Blago guilty on 17 of 20 counts

Enjoy being the bitch, asshole.  That hair of yours will sure look pretty as Bubba's cock-ring.

Busy again

You know, I can remember being a civilian and having loads of time to blog.  That ain't the case these days.

The Joy of Running

Every time I take the dog for a run, he comes back with the biggest smile on his furry little face.

As for me, running is stress relief now.  It's my way of getting rid of all the energy that would normally be put to use by strangling the shit out of some idiot.

And to think that a decade ago, I was smoking a pack a day and saying that I would only run if people were shooting at me or screaming for me.  See kids, you CAN change your life!
