Busy as hell

Didn't even have time to get online yesterday.  I did however manage to start a five gallon batch of ginger beer.  We'll see how it comes out.

In the mean time, can I remind you just how proud I am to be from Idaho?

...and, in the last election only two states (Utah and I can't remember the other one) had fewer votes for Obama than we did. The Obama vote in Idaho was about 27% (and most of that came from Southern Idaho.)

Hmmmmm - ginger beer!

Yep. Fresh ginger and oranges. For the sugar we used a mix of granulated, brown sugar, and molasses.

We'll see how it turns out. We used an ale yeast, so it should be ready to bottle at the end of the month.

That sounds really good. Wish you were closer.

Hah, a homebrewer too. No wonder I've always liked reading this page.

A Kallini Sighting! What have you been up to?

I've moved from Florida, started working at a brewery, and otherwise been majorly busy. Now I'm finally starting to settle into the new area, and beginning to look for a permanent residence. Other than that, all is good. How about you?

Working at a brewery? I'm jealous. Me, I'm still in the Army, still working like crazy to pay the bills. Nice to see you're still alive!

The industry is great, the job not so much. But yeah, beer is good. And bills suck here, too. This is my first state-to-state move in years, and it is amazing how much that'll set you back. But I'm getting back into the swing of things. I'll be around more often. I'm glad to see the blog still running.
