Lycanthropy?
I painted the living room yesterday, but I was snarling and growling pretty much all morning.
I'm not big enough to be a bear. I'm not hairy enough to be a wolf. Maybe I'm a were-badger? What else is grumpy and ill-tempered?

Look up "Ratel" AKA "Honey Badger". And for something a little closer to home, do some research on "Wolverine" known to the Indians of yore as "Devil Dog".
