Another reason to abolish the ATF

They've gone from sheer incompetence to out-and-out corruption.  When the ATF is selling guns to buyers in Mexico and then trumpeting the fact that US guns are being used by Mexican drug cartels, in order to shut down Americans who want to buy guns.....

They've BEEN corrupt for years, with Waco and Ruby Ridge being among their most egregious examples. So far. But they do seem to be trying for even lower levels of corruption.

So you want to abolish an agency with only 2500 agents? Where do you think the federal firearms enforcement responsibility will go? Think FBI with 15,000 agents. And, do think the FBI will give a crap about your 2nd Amendment rights? It's the gun laws that should be abolished, and only Congress can do that. But wait - aren't they the misguided fools who created them in the first place? Just food for thought.

Yep. Just because it's not the largest agency doesn't mean that it doesn't do it's fair share of damage to our collective rights. And it would be a good start.
