Now granted, if they play next week like they did tonight, they're toast. But hey, I'm gonna revel in the win tonight.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Supreme Court said on Friday it would decide whether the death penalty can be imposed for the crime of raping a child, expanding its review of how capital punishment is carried out in the United States.Works for me. If every execution saves 3 to 18 lives then how many of these crimes will be prevented?
Or avenged. I'm fine with that too.
In fact... where can I apply for the job? Have baseball bat will travel.

Third is still a fighting position. On to New Hampshire!
Heh: What the F*&K is wrong with you people?
Here's what gets to me a little bit - Iowa is NOT the USA, and yet because it's the first caucus everyone is slobbering and drooling over the results coming out of there. My question is, why? The Baron du Toit reminds us that Pat Frickin' Buchanan got 25% of the vote in 1988.
PAT FREAKING BUCHANAN! Yeah, he went real far after that didn't he? It's probably thanks to Iowa that the rest of the country has to listen to Buchanan as the token "conservative" on talk shows all over the TV. Hell, that's another reason I junked cable down here.
But I'll make you a guarantee - Huckster's "aw shucks I'm a Baptist Preacher" routine won't fly nearly as well in New Hampshire. Or Vermont. Or Maine. So let's keep on keepin' on, and push for a Fred Thompson Presidency!

THIS is why assimilation is needed. Anyone who says all cultures are the same is a damned idiot, who should be ignored as much as possible. Our culture says you protect your children. Yaser Abdel Said's culture says to kill your children to protect your "honor".
What? Huh? Are you kidding me? Seriously, let that sink it. This is the same culture that will kill a rape victim to preserve her family's "honor". Think about that. They won't kill the damn rapist, but they'll kill the rape victim. For their honor. That's fucked up right there. That's not sane. And I don't care who the hell you are, if you subscribe to that belief, then your culture is inferior to mine in every way. Period, end of story, nothing further to discuss.
When we allow people to move to this country, we need to make damn sure that they know it's NOT OK TO KILL YOUR DAUGHTERS! Because we do NOT need some barbaric fucking so-called culture to take root in this country. Oh hell no.
Click on it for bigger. Check out the photo of the guy on the the stage. He's running a vacuum cleaner damn near over the American flag which is LYING ON THE FUCKING GROUND!
WHAT! THE! FUCK!
I don't know what this guy's political affiliation is. For all I know, he's some schmuck hired to clean some stage. Whatever. WHY THE FUCK IS THE AMERICAN FLAG LYING ON THE GROUND? WHY IS THIS DOUCHBAG ALLOWING IT TO LIE THERE? WHY IS HE ABOUT TO SUCK IT INTO HIS VACUUM CLEANER?
There are some times when I wonder why the hell people are allowed to call themselves "Americans" when their actions show they are anything but.
This is not an isolated incident. Government-run health care systems are failing, in every country that has them in place. The government cannot be trusted with YOUR HEALTH, and we need to keep announcing that fact every chance we get.
VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - A Surrey woman's holiday in California has turned into a healthcare nightmare. The 68-year old needed emergency surgery after her appendix burst, but now she can't come home due to a lack of hospital beds.
Stephen Harris with the South Fraser Health Region says ... as soon as a bed becomes available, Meeks will be transferred to a local hospital. Arlene's daughter Kim says her mom is 'frustrated as hell', and she just wants to come home.

As for me, what I find truly appealing is the fact that Thompson, while wanting to become President, has not made it his entire existence. His life will not end if he doesn't become President. Compare that to damn near every other candidate, who's sole reason for living seems to be politics. And that's a knock on both parties, not just the Dem Cong.
Thompson's identity is not defined by any political seat he may hold. And that, my friends, it worth supporting.

As an aside, if you really, really, REALLY want onto our blogroll, let me know. Or publicly beg for the honor of being listed on this blog. Not that it's all that much of an honor, but I just like having people beg me for stuff once in a while.
UPDATE: New blogroll added. I cleared out over a dozen dead links, updated quite a few, and added one or two (Micheal, Steve B., give it a look!) I put the updated Watcher's Council onto it's own blogroll rather than having it hand entered. I'll be doing the same for the military links eventually.
In a New Year message to NHS staff, the Prime Minister indicates people may have to fulfil new "responsibilities" in order to establish their entitlement to care. The new conditions could be set out in a formal NHS "constitution", Mr Brown says.
In his open letter to doctors, nurses and other health workers, the Prime Minister promises to press on with Tony Blair's reforms of the NHS, pledging more personalised care for all patients.
He adds: "We will also examine how all these changes can be enshrined in a new constitution of the NHS, setting out for the first time the rights and responsibilities associated with an entitlement to NHS care."
Creating formal conditions for treatment would build on recent controversial developments in health policy.
Despite the NHS commitment to provide free universal care, it is already common for doctors to set conditions on patients seeking treatment.
Just keep all this in mind when you go to the polls. Keep this in mind when some
Got a call from my friend Alex, as well. Although it was entirely by accident. I don't even know what time it was, but the phone rings at some ungodly early hour, and I pick it up. "Hello?"
"Hey bud, I'm almost at your house!"
Since Alex lives in Idaho, and my current residence is in Puerto Rico, I'm quite puzzled by that.
"I'm almost at your house! I'm walking down the street right now!"
"Alex, do you even know who you called?"
"Oh shit. Happy New Year, Dave!"
So anyways, Happy New Year to all of you. Here's the iguana. Click for a bigger picture. He was missing half of his tail from the looks of it, and he was just strolling along like he owned the place. Don't know who the folks in the background are - just some people playing golf.
As we reported last year, Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-CA) helped to enact an NRA-backed law to save the 1100 Roosevelt Elk and Kaibab Mule Deer on Santa Rosa Island from court-ordered extermination. Congresswoman Lois Capps (D-CA) and Senators Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Barbara Boxer (D-CA) were outraged. It was clear that they were not going to give up until every elk and mule deer on the island had been destroyed.
This week, Senator Feinstein succeeded in inserting a provision into the Omnibus Appropriations Bill that repeals this animal-saving law. This action, passed in the dark of night, reinstates the extermination order that must be carried out by 2011. This is a terrible blow to wildlife conservation in America.
Santa Rosa’s elk and mule deer are unique and invaluable because they are free from chronic wasting disease (CWD) and other ailments that threaten these species on the mainland. Forty miles of Pacific Ocean ensures them an ideal sanctuary. Senator Feinstein and the others have destroyed this last remaining insurance policy against losing these magnificent species if an epidemic strikes the mainland.
This episode also proves beyond doubt that the Humane Society of the United States isn’t trying to “save” animals. The radical anti-hunting group refused to utter a single word of opposition to the government-mandated slaughter of the elk and mule deer that have coexisted with other plant and animal species on the island for more than 75 years.Senators Feinstein and Boxer, Representative Capps, and even the National Park Service, want all of the animals on the Island exterminated so that some are not ethically hunted as a management tool. It shows, in no uncertain terms, the ruthlessness of radical hunting opponents.
What a waste. This would be just utterly shameful, if Leftists were capable of feeling shame. Found here.

You know, when I'm asked which of the current group of Democratic candidates I prefer to run against, I always say it really doesn't matter…These days all those candidates, all the Democratic leaders, are one and the same. They’re all NEA-MoveOn.org-ACLU-Michael Moore Democrats. They’ve allowed these radicals to take control of their party and dictate their course.
So this election is important not just to enact our conservative principles. This election is important to salvage a once-great political party from the grip of extremism and shake it back to its senses. It's time to give not just Republicans but independents, and, yes, good Democrats a chance to call a halt to the leftward lurch of the once-proud party of working people.
So in seeking the nomination of my own party, I want to say something a little unusual. I am asking my fellow Republicans to vote for me not only for what I have to say to them, but for what I have to say to the members of the other party—the millions of Democrats who haven't left the Democratic party so much as their party's national leadership has left them.
Oh hell yes. Fred Thompson for President. That's my choice. DANEgerus and Steve B. may disagree with me of course, but as for this particular blogger, I'm rooting for Fred Dalton Thompson.
Anti-Military Lawyer Damages Marine's Car on Eve of DeploymentAll the contact information is at BlackFive... don't contact Mr. Grodner of course... that would be wrong... like keying a car.Mike left his friend's apartment and caught the man keying his car on multiple sides. [pic]
the man told Mike, "you think you can do whatever you want with Department of Defense license plates and tags". (In Illinois you can purchase veteran, Marine, or medal plates. Mike has Illinois Marine Corps license plates.) During the exchange, he made additional anti-military comments.
Mike called the Chicago police and had the man arrested. A citation against the man was issued for misdemeanor criminal damage to private property.
The police report (and I have copies if needed) states:Victim related to P/O that as he walked back to his vehicle, he observed the offender leaning up against his vehicle and rubbed/dragged his left arm and hand across the passenger side. As offender walked away from victim's vehicle, victim observed a scratch along the rear trunk and passenger's door area where offender dragged his arm and hand over. Victim and witness stopped offender and confronted him. Victim has military plates and decals on his vehicle and offender made anti war and military comments to victim. Upon P/O's arrival to scene, offender denied scratch victim's vehicle, but did admit to rubbing past it. Victim at this time did not sign complaint, because he is leaving tour for military duty. Offender said they accused him of scratching the car because he is Jewish. Offender's statements/responses to P/O's questions unreasonable. As it turns out, the man is Chicago lawyer Jay R. Grodner, who owns a law firm in the city and has offices in the suburbs.
After sending the car to the body shop, it was determined there is $2400 in damage, making this a felony. Mike went to court Friday morning to collect the damages against Mr. Grodner and file felony charges. Though the damages are over $300 (the amount which determines felony or misdemeanor) Grodner offered Mike to pay his deductible, $100, and have Mike's insurance pay for it.
The Illinois States Attorneys tried to coerce Mike into accepting the offer. Appalled, Mike said he wanted this to be a felony. The state told Mike that it was not worth pursuing felony damage against Grodner because they don't have the time. In addition, the state prosecutors told him that he would never it 'would be difficult to recover the damages' from Grodner because he is a lawyer.
Instead, the State asked Mike if he would accept probation for Grodner. Mike accepted, probation was offered to Grodner, and Grodner declined the offer, saying within ear shot of Mike, "I'm not going to make it easy on this kid". Mike's next court date is tomorrow, Monday, December 31st, to pursue misdemeanor charges against Grodner.
Jay Grodner knows this and is going to file for a continuance until Mike is gone and cannot appear in court.
I guess the part that frosts me is this 4-inch dicked thug is counting on the Marine's conduct to avoid his own beating, dismisses him with an offer of $100 for his $2400 in damage and then whines the Marine "called him a Jew".
Since we can't... but if you are a Jew... please let this POS know what you think of him demanding "victim" status in the actual commission of a crime.

The government is not your friend. It has never BEEN your friend. The government is force, applied to various tasks. While some of those tasks may benefit the population, there are other times when it works against the people of this country. How many people have potentially explosive things around their houses? I have propane tanks for the grill, gas cans for the lawnmower, chemicals for lawn care, bug control and woodworking, all kept secured outside for safety reasons. But, should a massive fire take place there's a chance those things could go off like fireworks. Anyone who does welding might have an oxygen tank in or near his garage, and if THAT kicks off it's one hell of a blast."By the way, I am very empathetic to your problems with the Treasury Department's Waffen SS. My house burned down about a year ago. I almost died trying to find my dog in the smoke and flames, but I could not find him. The fire started in the garage from faulty electrical wiring. and the flames had engulfed the entire garage within a couple of minutes.Unfortunately, I had just filled 3 bar-b-que propane tanks that day and set them in the garage. When those exploded, the additional heat caused my hunting ammunition and cabinet full of paint cans to explode. All of that was bad enough, but then my oxy/accedaline tanks exploded and the blast shook the neighborhood. After the fire was out, I had the painful task of burying my dog. I could hardly see the hole I was digging through all the tears in my eyes. I had just laid him to rest when an ATF agent walked up and started asking me questions. He said that he had just listened to the 911 calls that had come in from the neighbors when the fire started. He said that there were 14 calls, and 8 of them reported bombs going off inside the garage. I explained that the neighbors simply heard the paint cans, ammunition, and black powder exploding from the heat. At that point he said, "Tell me more about the black powder, because as it stands you are facing 10 years." WHAT? Ten years for 10-20 lbs. of black powder? I told him that the law allows an individual to keep 50 lbs at home, and I had no where near that amount. He told me that in "His Town", he expects a phone call if I keep as much as a firecracker at my house. Since I had not been in contact with him, he said he was inclined to believe that my black powder was intended for bomb manufacturing. I told him a jury would hear the truth and see that the whole thing is absolutely ridiculous! He then told me that jury's are simply decorative ornaments in court cases the ATF is involved with, because the Federal Government does not lose. After two hours of questioning me and threatening me with prison, he wrote me a $500 "fireworks" citation. He told me I better count my blessings and be happy with just a citation.
When he handed me that citation, I was absolutely stunned. I said, "last night I lost my house and all of my possessions to the fire, I just buried my dog that I loved like a child, and you are writing me a $500.00 "fireworks" citation for having 20 lbs of black powder in my garage?" His response, again, was "yes, count your blessings." Before he left, he said, "Be aware that the ATF knows who you are now and where you live.....You better not cross paths with us again".Cross paths with them??? My house burned down for God's sake! I didn't cross paths with those evil bastards. They found me, and then victimized me when I was at the lowest point in my life! I don't have as much as a traffic ticket on my record, but the ATF is "watching me" now?"
I guess that would make us all criminals in the eyes of the government. Which is bullshit, and reason enough to hack the gummint off at the knees.
So raise a glass to the Pats, but it's the Superbowl that counts. I'm not going to claim that my Seahawks are going to win it all, but if they can heal some of their injuries before they hit the playoffs they might have a slim chance.
This is why I refuse to buy any newspapers these days. As far as I care, they can all go out of business. We need to either force them to admit that they're biased and un-objective, or simply scrap them all and start over.
