The AP's commitment to "Serious" Journalism

Isn't so serious. But we already knew that, after the Jamil Hussein crap, don't we? Does the AP care about stories in Iraq? No. Does it care about the latest bills coming out of Congress? No. What does it care about?

Sex stories told by a stereotypical tart. Seriously. Go check out the Hot Air story, and listen to that girl's voice.

Like, OH. MY. GOD, Becky! I swear, you can hear the lack of brain cells in her voice with every word she speaks. Just listening to her babble on for the ten seconds or so made me want to beat her with a hickory axe handle. "SHUT UP, YOU BRAINLESS BABBLING BINT!"

So there we are. In order to get a video blog noticed by the AP, you have to WORK for the AP and talk about sexual topics. Real cutting edge journalism there!

Christ, you can't even use satire on these pricks. They've gone that far down the hole.

The Congressional Black Caucus

Needs to be abolished. So says Tom Tancredo. And you know what? I agree with him.

Think about this - what if we had the Congressional White Caucus? An organization who only allowed white members, who focused on the issues of white Americans? Would that be racist? You can bet your sweet patootie that the usual suspects would be HOWLING their OUTRAGE over it.

So why is it racist to have a White Caucus, but not a Black Caucus? It's the same damn issue, and the Black Caucus' refusal to allow a white congresscritter who represented a mostly black district shows that it's not about who you represent, it's about the color of your skin. It's racist, plain and simple.

It has no place in Congress. Let's get rid of it.

Funeral detail complete

There were a few issues, but none of them stemmed from the rifle team, so I'm happy. I have a sunburn on 2/3 of my face from standing at parade rest for so long in the direct sunlight, and I think I sweat more today that I did all week.

But you know what? It's worth it to have a gentlemen from the American Legion or VFW come by and thank us. It's worth it to have the family give us that look that shows their thanks. It's worth it when you see just how important it is to the family and friends of the departed.

Rest in peace, soldier.

Day is done
Gone the sun
From the hills
to the lakes to the sky
Rest in peace,
Soldier brave,
God is nigh.

History can die

And in fact does so, reminding us that the past isn't so far away after all. Emilio Mercado has passed away.

If you don't know who that is, he was until recently the oldest man in the world. He also happened to be the oldest Army veteran in the world, getting drafted in the waning months of World War One.

I will be in charge of the rifle detail at his funeral tomorrow. Since I'll be getting ready from here on out, don't expect any more posts from me today.

You know what's screwed up? Fox News doesn't have this. I couldn't really find a mention of it in any major US Newspapers. But the Calgary Herald? They got it.

Go Canada!

Oh joy.

I can hear the Leftoids sneer "It doesn't mean anything!"

A Russian man, authorities allege, tried to sell a small amount of nuclear-bomb grade uranium in a plastic bag in his jacket pocket.

The buy that took place last summer, it turned out, was a setup by Republic of Georgia authorities, with the help of the CIA.

One of the most absurd arguments I've ever heard come out of the Left is that countries like Iran and Iraq were no threat to the USA because they couldn't send their armies to our shores. Idiots. They don't need to. All they need is one man, armed with a suitcase nuke, and bye-bye Los Angeles. There are people out there who want to kill us, and they'll do whatever they can to accomplish their goal.

And the Left snivels on in their self-induced ignorance....

Oh, those horrible bloodthirsty brutes!

What will those babykilling murderers think of next?

MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. — The military calls its new weapon an "active denial system," but that's an understatement. It's a ray gun that shoots a beam that makes people feel as if they are about to catch fire.

Apart from causing that terrifying sensation, the technology is supposed to be harmless — a non-lethal way to get enemies to drop their weapons.

Military officials say it could save the lives of innocent civilians and service members in places like Iraq and Afghanistan.

(.....)

Anyone hit by the beam immediately jumped out of its path because of the sudden blast of heat throughout the body. While the 130-degree heat did not cause lasting pain, it was intense enough to make the participants think their clothes were about to ignite.

"This is one of the key technologies for the future," said Marine Col. Kirk Hymes, director of the non-lethal weapons program at Quantico, Va., which helped develop the new weapon. "Non-lethal weapons are important for the escalation of force, especially in the environments our forces are operating in."

We're so bloodthirsty that we find ways of disabling our enemies without killing them. We constantly look for ways to win battles with a minimum of bloodshed. But to the Left, we're just a bunch of knuckledragging neadertals waiting for a chance to rape, kill and pillage. Has there ever been a military so focused on winning with a minimum of damage?

I don't theenk so, Lucy.

Altoids

Anyone else out there an Altoid Junkie? You know, the "Curiously Strong" peppermints? They've got 'em in cinnimon, wintergreen, yada yada yada. I still think the peppermint ones are the best.

My wife went to the PX yesterday, and brought back a box of Dark Chocolate covered Peppermint Altoids.

Great Googly Moogly! As if I didn't eat enough of them already.....

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up

Okay, look, fellas, it’s time to stop playing silly semantic games and come clean. You fear, mistrust, and despise the US military. They make you feel like the sunken-chested, slope-shouldered, gutless commie weinerschnitzels you really are, and you’ve always resented them for that, and you always will. I mean, we’ve all known all along that your puling little “chickenhawk” whimper was nothing more than a classic case of projection, from the real cowards onto those Americans who are made of sterner stuff.

Hell, you dinks are terrified of second-hand smoke, all contact sports, dissenting opinion, and pellet guns; it only stands to reason you’d also be afraid of hulking, rugged, rough-hewn types trained to a finely-honed edge in all the various deadly arts you shudder to even contemplate from the comfort of your dorm room, cubicle, boho hipster hair salon, or internet cafĂ©. You’ve always thought Patton was a dangerous psycho, Schwarzkopf ate his own young, and Eisenhower was a lot scarier than those jackets made him look. Plus, deep down, the 60’s retreads among you really believe that if it weren’t for soldiers, their blockhead campaign to Give Peace A Chance! would have succeeded in abolishing all war forever by now.

Um.... Yep. Every time I hear a Leftist say "We support the troops" I have to restrain myself from belting them in the mouth. No, you DON'T support the troops, you mewling, cowardly maggot. And your lie just shows that you know how foul you really are.

Ready for an eye opener?

Go check out Family Watchdog. Go plug in your address and find out how many sex offenders reside next to you. You can see what they were convicted of as well.

Ugh.

Found at Grunt's Military Forums.

I have a confession to make

I didn't watch the SOTU address. Not one word of it. Why? Because I knew what will happen.

Bush will make a nice speech. It'll include many of the things that conservatives have talked about for the past six years, but when push came to shove the Republicans sat on their hands and did nothing.

We will be treated with the same classless morons who now control Congress acting like, well, classless morons. I expect the cameras will focus on Clinton, Obama, and Kennedy as much as possible. Right. The only one of those people who I don't vomit at the mere sight of is Obama. But that's only because he hasn't lived long enough for his outside to resemble true inside.

Bush will outline grandiose plans that will go nowhere, as the Democrats American Communist Party will torpedo the moment they hit the floor of the Capitol Building, as actually getting things done is not as important to them as hurting President Bush.

Besides.... Bush isn't going to say what really needs to be said, is he?

The disaster is that you, Congress and the American people, do not care to fight. Faced with a fundamental challenge to our own security, to everything we believe in, to the world order to peace and security for which we and our parents fought so hard for so many years, you now want to pretend like none of these threats are real. You want to surrender to the evil I have been telling you about. An evil that, unchecked, can consume large parts of the world and threatens to usher in a dark age.

You didn’t like it when I talked about evil. Sounded too simple, too uncompromising, too moralistic. Too … biblical.

I don’t know what else you call people who fly passenger jets into office buildings; who rape women in front of their husbands and children, and execute their opponents in acid baths; who seek to spread tyrannical and archaic religious regimes that enslave women and stifle fundamental freedoms. Who want to dominate the world’s primary oil fields with nuclear weapons.

I call it evil. Works for me.

One of the biggest problems I see is that Congress, hell, ALL politicians, are living in their own make believe world, which doesn't resemble the real world at all. Yet they make their decisions based on that make believe world, try to press their decisions in the real world, and learn NOTHING when they fail because reality won't conform itself to their fantasy. And still they learn nothing. NOTHING!

Fuck it. Why should I watch a large group of deluded pricks talk to themselves? The more I see of our political "leadership", the more I wonder just when the next revolution is coming.

Round and round and round we go

"It’s an unwritten rule. It’s understood. It’s clear."

SayUncle » Not a double standard

Yep. Crystal.

Dear Lord....

I can't believe this:

1
3-2320. Domestic terrorism; classification

A. An individual or group of individuals commits domestic terrorism if the individual or group of individuals are not affiliated with a local, state or federal law enforcement entity and associate with another individual or group of individuals as an organization, group, corporation or company for the purpose of patrolling to detect alleged illegal activity or to individually patrol for the purpose of detecting alleged illegal activity and if the individual or group of individuals is armed with a firearm or other weapon.

So the Minutemen currently watching the border would be classified as "Domestic Terrorists".

What. A. Crock. Of. SHIT!

I think it's about time we start telling the government to shove off. Piss up a rope. Take a long walk off a short pier. Take a flying fuck at a rolling donut.

Dear nanny-statist pinheads: PISS OFF!

Questions for Hillary?

Bill Frist has a list of questions that he wants to ask Hillary Clinton.

Do you favor personal savings accounts as a voluntary part of Social Security Reform?

Do you favor an increase in retirement age as part of Medicare reform?

Should Medicare have an element of means testing?

Do you favor opening up Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil and gas exploration?

How do you propose expanding Health Savings Accounts?

Do you favor giving citizenship to those who are in this country illegally?

Should the United States send troops to stop the genocide in Darfur?

Will you make the Presidents tax cuts permanent?

Would you favor elimination of the death tax?

Would you support a flat tax?

Do you support President Bush's plan for Iraq?

Will you seek to meet with the leaders of Syria or North Korea or Iran?

Should the United States end the embargo of Cuba?

The hell with Hillary, we all know what her answers would be. This list of questions should be asked EACH AND EVERY REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE before the primaries.

Light posting day

I had a pass today, so I'm focused on taking care of the business that I couldn't attend to this weekend. Lawn mowing, dish washing, laundry, that sort of stuff. The wife loves to bake, and I love fresh baked bread, but it's my responsibility to wash the flaming assloads of dishes that is created.

But hey, we've got a kick ass blogroll, don't we?

I know, I know

I didn't blog at all this weekend. That had something to do with it being drill weekend, and me being the only guy with the time and inclination to teach people how to shoot.

And dear g-d, I needed help.

There's something about living in a culture where guns are practically forbidden. Hoplophobia, the fear of weapons. You have to start from scratch just about every time they pick up a weapon. "OK, now you need to have the correct posture. Don't put your entire finger on the trigger, just use the tip of your finger. Breath control, breath control, now get a good sight picture...." Things that people who are familiar with weapons do almost instinctively. Every time we pull out the weapons, I have to start over with the basics and fundamentals before I can get them to even get a good shot grouping. I have a Laser Marksmanship Training System that I use to get them used to the actions of firing a weapon, but it takes time.... I've got two or three people who are naturals at it, but the rest of the troops need practice. And what pisses me off is that this gun grabbing, GFW, socialist government on this corrupt island makes it so damn hard to get a gun that I can't even take the troops to the range on my off time and let them practice.

And trust me, they need practice.

Anyways, I'm sorry for the suckage of non-posting, but I had my hands full. Hell, I didn't even get online this weekend to check my email, much less blog. Any time not spend working was spend on the couch, where I would collapse every night after I got home.

By the way, in case you haven't heard, the AP is still a worthless, anti-American craphole, and they've been proven liars. Remember, they're not anti-war, they're just on the other side.

And once again, HOW BOUT THAT GLOBAL WARMING?! California lost about a billion dollars worth of citrus fruit because of the cold weather there. Y'know, when I think about global warming, the last thing that comes to mind is losing citrus fruit in Cali. But gosh, I'm sure the moonbats and bullshit artists will come up with an "explanation". They always do. Just like I'm sure they'll find a way to blame snow in Tucson on human action as well. The global warming theory is a load of horse-shit, plain and simple.

Alright. That's it for this morning. I still have a crapload of work on my desk, and I have to find time to do it all.
