Another Lie, Exposed Yet Again

"Oh, but it's patriotic to dissent!"

Sometimes, yes. Well reasoned debate is always welcome. But let's be blunt, shall we? The Left has not engaged in well reasoned debate ever since the 1950's.

So to all those Leftoids screaming about dissent being patriotic, I have no problem in responding "You're full of crap".

Readers of this blog will remember the name Joshua Sparling. In December 2005, the Iraq war veteran received a disgusting, anti-war death wish card while being treated at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, D.C. for injuries from a bomb explosion in Ramadi. Last month, his right leg was amputated.

And this weekend, while participating in a counter-protest against the moonbat convergence, he was spit at by anti-war demonstrators.

We haven't seen any patriotic dissent from the Left over the Iraq War. They haven't been patriotic since the Korean War, and the Viet Nam War showed just how far the rot of communism and anti-Americanism had penetrated the Democrat Party. Today? It's rotten to the core. There isn't a single part of the Left that's worth more than a mousefart.

Found via Cold Fury, who has additional commentary that I wholeheartedly agree with.

Now watch as the lunatics and their supposedly more reasonable supporters among the “reality”-based try to claim it never happened - or if it did, it didn’t mean what it obviously does. And watch as the MSM tries to cover for their partners in anti-patriotic crime, by throwing a blanket over this potential brush-fire of a story completely. If real Americans begin to get wind of this sort of thing happening again, no Lefty fuckwit in the country will be completely safe from violent retribution. As ambivalent as they may be about Bush’s handling of the war, I don’t think Americans suffer from any such irresolution over whether they want to see a repeat of the degradation of the 60’s era, when the Left snatched a wartime defeat from the jaws of victory, and dragged American honor, strength, and prestige through the mud. They got away with it once; they won’t again.

And honestly? I can’t say I have much of a problem with that. It’s a sad, tragic pass we’ve been brought to by these peurile simpletons, but here we are just the same. Those of us who are saddened by the displacement of the social contract by the unenlightened and boundless self-regard of the Petulant Left have some decidedly unpleasant realities to face up to here.

Mark my words: it’s going to get worse.

Indeed.
